The Apple TV library may not be as large as that of other streaming services, but it still packs a considerable punch, especially if you’re a fan of prestige TV. The original TV shows and movies on Apple TV are frequently recognized when awards season comes around, and if you’re looking for a new obsession, it’s definitely worth a look.
One way Apple TV allows you to curate your picks of new TV shows and movies is its Watchlist feature, which is a highly convenient way to set aside titles you want to stream later and watch them whenever you choose. How do you use Apple TV’s Watchlist feature? Find out from our experts below.

How to save titles to your Watchlist on Apple TV
Apple TV thankfully offers the same method of adding TV shows and movies to its Watchlist across different platforms. I found that whether on the Apple TV website, its connected TV app, or its mobile app, the best way to add a title to the Watchlist on the streamer is to start by navigating to that title’s details page.
After you’ve done that, you’ll want to seek out the small + button next to the Play button. Pressing this + will move the title in question to your Watchlist for you to stream whenever you choose.
How to watch saved movies on Apple TV
Unlike many other streaming services, the Apple TV app does not have a specific tab that houses TV shows and movies saved to a viewer’s Watchlist. Rather, those titles appear in the Continue Watching row of the streamer’s home page — whether you’ve actually started playback or not.
While this might catch some users off guard, once they’ve located the Continue Watching row, all they need to do is click the title they want to stream to start playback.
How to remove saved titles from Apple TV’s Watchlist
Like most other streaming services, Apple TV offers two methods of removing a TV show or movie from a user’s Watchlist. First, you can go to that title within the Continue Watching row on the streamer’s website, and click the three-dot menu at the bottom-right corner of the title’s art. Click the Remove button to pull it.
You can also go back to the details page of the show or movie you want to delete, and find where you clicked the + to add it to your list. It will now take the shape of a checkmark instead; click the check to remove it from your Watchlist.
Apple TV
Apple TV (formerly known as Apple TV+) is a subscription video streaming service for $14.99 per month, offering a growing slate of original series, films, documentaries, and specials. Unlike other platforms that combine licensed titles with originals, Apple TV is built entirely around exclusive programming, making it the home of critically acclaimed hits such as “Ted Lasso,” “Severance,” “The Morning Show,” and “Silo.” Its lineup continues to expand with award-winning dramas, comedies, family-friendly shows, and blockbuster original films like “CODA,” which won the Academy Award for Best Picture.
