How to Watch 2023-24 NBA Games on Bally Sports Channels, Bally Sports+
How to Watch 2023-24 NBA Games on Bally Sports Channels, Bally Sports+
Although there’s a good deal of uncertainty surrounding Bally Sports regional sports networks this year, there are still 15 NBA teams scheduled to play on these channels.
It would be highly disingenuous to suggest that things are rolling along as planned for Bally Sports regional sports networks. Their parent company Diamond Sports Group (DSG) has been in bankruptcy court since March with no end in sight; in fact, the company just asked the presiding judge for more time to present its bankruptcy reorganization plan.
There are 15 NBA teams whose local broadcast rights are still held by DSG and Bally Sports, and as it stands those teams are scheduled to appear on their regular RSN despite the bankruptcy proceedings. The league has been working with Diamond to help it stay afloat this season, but its contract with the company stipulates that if even one rights payment to one team is missed, the NBA has grounds to nullify all of its contracts with DSG.
If that happens, The Streamable will have all the details about how to watch/stream your favorite team. Until then, however, check out this complete guide on how to watch NBA basketball on Bally Sports channels and Bally Sports+!
Which NBA Teams Play on a Bally Sports RSN?
Some of the league’s top stars play on Bally Sports-branded RSNs, including Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jimmy Butler, Luka Doncic, and many others. Check out a full list of teams that play on a Bally Sports channel below to see if your favorite is there.
Which Live TV Streaming Services Carry Bally Sports RSNs?
For cord-cutters, there are currently just two choices available for streaming a Bally Sports RSN on linear channels without a cable subscription. DIRECTV STREAM and its Choice plan ($99.99 per month) is the best choice for doing this, as it comes with a five-day free trial for all new customers. In addition, the service is offering $10 off per months for your first three months, and for a limited time users who subscribe to a Choice or Ultimate plan can get the Sports add-on pack free for one month.
Fubo is the other live TV service that offers Bally Sports RSNs. This live TV platform starts at $85.98, and that price includes the regional sports network fee users will have to pay if they get a Bally Sports channel in their market. Fubo also comes with a free trial, though its length depends on what time of the month a user subscribes during.
What is Bally Sports+? How Can You Use it to Watch NBA Games?
If the NBA team in your market broadcasts on a Bally Sports RSN, but a live TV service like Fubo or DIRECTV STREAM doesn’t fit into your budget, Bally Sports+ could be perfect for you. This service holds the streaming rights to all 15 NBA teams that appear on Bally Sports channels, so any fan whose team is on one of those RSNs can stream their games live using Bally Sports+ instead.
The biggest advantage this grants over cable or live TV streaming is price. Bally Sports+ costs $19.99 per month, and it also carries 12 NHL teams, so if your favorite professional hockey team is also on your local Bally Sports affiliate you’re set with Bally Sports+.
Bally Sports+ does not force customers to only watch on mobile devices, either. The app is available to stream on most devices, including Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV 4K, Google Chromecast, Roku, Android TV, iPhone/iPad, Android Phone/Tablet, Mac, Windows, LG Smart TV, Samsung Smart TV, Sony Smart TV, and VIZIO Smart TV.
Bally Sports+
Bally Sports+ was a direct-to-consumer streaming service that provided live, in-market games without requiring a cable or satellite subscription. It allowed fans to watch their local Bally Sports regional sports network (RSN) without a traditional TV package.
