It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and with that comes plenty of Christmas specials! The fabulous 2024 Christmas in Rockefeller Center special airs on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock and is the perfect way to spread the holiday cheer. Join Kelly Clarkson as she hosts the extravagant event. You can watch NBC with a subscription to Hulu + Live TV.

How to watch 2024 Christmas in Rockefeller Center

Everything you should know about 2024 Christmas in Rockefeller Center

Find out who will perform at 2024 Christmas in Rockefeller Center:

Why we recommend Hulu + Live TV to watch 2024 Christmas in Rockefeller Center

The Christmas in Rockefeller Center is set to air on NBC on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 8 p.m. ET. That means that there is a multitude of ways that you can choose to stream it. If you do not already have access to ABC through a live TV streaming service, then our expert recommendation is to go with Hulu + Live TV.

The main reason that we are recommending Hulu + Live TV is because it comes with a three-day free trial. So, if you are only looking for a way to stream this special, you can tune in, enjoy Kelly Clarkson as host and performer, and cancel. However, if you are also looking to have a great way to watch all of the new and traditional holiday programming available on broadcast and cable channels, as well as streaming, then Hulu + Live TV is the best option.

Not only does the live streamer have all of the broadcast networks and the vast majority of cable channels, but it also comes with complimentary access to Hulu and Disney+, meaning that you can also watch all of the holiday programming available on those platforms as well.

Hulu Live TV

Hulu Live TV is a live TV streaming service with more than 70 channels for $89.99 per month. Hulu + Live TV base plan includes local channels 32 of the top 35 cable channels, and regional sports networks (RSNs). Subscribers get free access to Disney+ and ESPN Select at no extra charge.

…

Where it really separates itself is value. Your subscription doesn’t just cover live TV — it also includes full access to Hulu’s on-demand library, plus bundled subscriptions to Disney+ and ESPN Select content at no extra cost. That means you’re getting everything from next-day network TV episodes and Hulu Originals, to Marvel, Star Wars, and live sports content all in one place without juggling multiple bills.

For sports fans, Hulu + Live TV also includes regional sports networks (RSNs) in select areas, a feature many competing services have dropped. That can be a big deal if you’re trying to follow local MLB, NBA, or NHL teams.

The DVR experience is another strong point. Subscribers get unlimited cloud DVR storage and the ability to fast-forward through commercials on recorded content — a feature that used to cost extra but is now standard. It’s designed to feel closer to a traditional cable DVR, just without the box.

If you want to customize further, several add-ons are available. You can upgrade to premium channels like HBO, Showtime, or Starz, add an unlimited streams option for households with lots of viewers, or go ad-free on Hulu’s on-demand content (live TV will still include ads).

Overall, Hulu + Live TV is less about being the cheapest option and more about being the most comprehensive. It’s built for people who want live TV, on-demand shows, and bundled streaming services all under one roof — without having to piece everything together themselves.

Christmas in Rockefeller Center has become an iconic part of every holiday season. Each year, Rockefeller Center’s head gardener, Erik Pauze, selects the perfect tree. The 2024 tree comes from West Stockbridge, Massachusetts. During the Christmas special, viewers will watch the tree lighting, featuring a dazzling array of more than 50,000 multi-colored LED lights.
