About The 2024 Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony

For the first time in Olympic history, the Opening Ceremony will start on a river – the Seine to be exact, as athletes follow it through the heart of Paris. From the Austerlitz bridge, the parade will follow a 3.7-mile-long route that winds through the city’s renowned locations, like Notre-Dame, the Louvre, and more, before concluding at the Trocadero where French president Emmanuel Macron will deliver his opening speech before the lighting of the Olympic cauldron.

From that moment on, the games have begun! Mike Tirico will host coverage of the 2024 Olympic Opening Ceremony, alongside two familiar faces: Emmy Award-winning and Grammy Award-winning artist and host Kelly Clarkson and Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback and two-time Super Bowl champion Peyton Manning.

Why We Like Peacock for Watching the 2024 Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony

For the first time in history, every single event of the Summer Olympics will be available to stream. Never before have fans been able to catch each and every game, match, and event, including all 329 medal events. But for the 2024 Paris Games, Peacock is making that happen, and you can watch them all live. So, if you are an Olympic fanatic, NBCUniversal’s flagship streaming service has everything that you could possibly hope for.

In addition to all of the live competitions, the streamer will also have highlights, on-demand replays, and tons of original content. Kevin Hart and Keenan Thompson will be doing daily highlight shows, Alex Cooper will be hosting alternate broadcast parties, there will be multiview action, and Peacock will also introduce “Gold Zone,” which will run from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET every day and will whip you around to all of the most important and exciting action happening at any moment.

The best part is that Peacock costs as little as $7.99 to watch the entire Olympics. Peacock Premium — the service’s ad-supported tier — is less than $8 per month, and you will get all of the Olympic coverage as well Peacock’s full library as well. If you want to stream on-demand content without commercial interruptions, you can opt for the Peacock Premium Plus plan for $13.99 monthly.

If instead you are in the market for a live TV streaming service for during and after the Olympics, The Streamable’s expert recommendation is to sign up for Hulu + Live TV. Not only does it carry all of the NBCU channels that will broadcast Olympic coverage, but it also comes with the Disney Bundle included. So, you will get the Hulu on-demand library, Disney+, and ESPN+ at no extra charge.
