The 2025 NFL schedule release is officially happening on Wednesday, May 14.

The NFL is continuing to spread its wings. The league has eventized so many of the key events on its calendar, and the schedule release is no different. The official NFL schedule release show is coming to NFL Network on Wednesday, May 14 at 8 p.m. ET, but select games will be revealed beforehand as well. We’ll give you all the details on that a little further down, and explain why we think the best way to watch is with a subscription to Sling TV.

What time is the 2025 NFL schedule release?

The NFL schedule release show is set for Wednesday, May 14, at 8 p.m. ET. The NFL also intends to allow its broadcast partners to announce select games on the following days:

  • NBC - Monday, May 12 on the “TODAY Show.”
  • Fox - Monday, May 12
  • Prime Video - Monday, May 12
  • CBS - Wednesday, May 14 on “CBS Mornings”
  • Netflix - Wednesday, May 14

In addition, international games will be announced on “Good Morning Football” on NFL Network on Tuesday, May 13. The show will start at 8 a.m. ET.

Why do we recommend watching the 2025 NFL schedule release on Sling TV?

Sling TV is your best potential partner for watching the 2025 NFL schedule release. Hulu + Live TV also offers a regular free trial of three days’ duration, and carries NFL Network in its base plan. After the trial, plans with the Disney Bundle included cost $83 per month and up.

Fubo has a free trial that can last between one and seven days, depending on what time of month you subscribe and other variables. After the trial, its Pro plan with NFL Network starts at $85 per month, not including associated fees.

YouTube TV also has a trial that differs from customer to customer, and can last as long as two weeks or as short as two days. Once the trial ends, YouTube TV’s base plan is $83 per month.

What are all the services you can use to watch the 2025 NFL schedule release?

About 2025 NFL schedule release

NFL Network’s “Schedule Release ‘25” show will run for three hours and will be hosted by Rich Eisen, Maurice Jones-Drew, and Michael Robinson. The trio will analyze the season and highlight top primetime games and marquee matchups, and welcome guests such as Jim Nantz, Al Michaels, Kevin Burkhardt, and Dion Dawkins.

Viewers can also tune into ESPN2 to hear from Laura Rutledge, Dan Orlovsky, Louis Riddick, Adam Schefter, and Peter Schrager, along with Troy Aikman and guests, if they want to hear reaction and analysis of the 2025 schedule from that outlet. ESPN2’s NFL schedule release show begins at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday evening.

There will be more international NFL games than ever in 2025. The New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, and Jacksonville Jaguars will all play games in London this year, and the Los Angeles Chargers will head to São Paulo, Brazil. The NFL invades Ireland this year with a game featuring the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Miami Dolphins will meet an as-yet undetermined opponent in Madrid.
