The NASCAR Cup Series heads to Watkins Glen International this weekend for the Go Bowling at The Glen, and road-course racing always has a way of shaking things up. The race goes down Sunday, May 10 at 3 p.m. ET on FS1, with drivers taking on the 2.45-mile asphalt road course in Watkins Glen, New York. Shane van Gisbergen won here last year and is the obvious name to watch again, because until someone consistently beats him on road courses, he’s going to be the guy everyone is chasing. Tyler Reddick comes in leading the Cup Series standings, while Denny Hamlin, Chase Elliott, Ryan Blaney, and Chris Buescher are all trying to close the gap. You can stream all the racing action with Sling TV’s multitude of subscription options.

Why we like Sling TV for watching the NASCAR Go Bowling at The Glen

If you’re trying to keep up with NASCAR, NBA, NHL, live specials, and the latest buzzy show without juggling a bunch of apps, Sling TV is a really practical option. It brings live channels together at a lower price than most of the bigger live TV streaming services, which is especially helpful when a packed race weekend rolls around.

The best part is the flexibility. Sling gives you more ways to subscribe than most major live TV streaming platforms. You can sign up for a single day starting at $5, choose a three-day or week-long pass, pick a smaller channel package based on what you actually watch, or go with Sling’s full standard lineup for $61 per month. Even at the full monthly price, it’s still one of the cheaper ways to stream live TV.

For this race, the easiest route is Sling Select, which includes FS1 for $30 per month. That plan also carries local ABC, NBC, and Fox stations in select markets. But if you’re just trying to watch Go Bowling at The Glen and move on, Sling’s day, weekend, and week-long passes make it easy to stream the race without locking yourself into a full month.

Can you watch the NASCAR Go Bowling at The Glen for free?

If you’re only trying to watch the race and don’t want to pay for a full month of live TV, you’ve got a few free-trial options. The catch is that trial lengths aren’t always the same for every user. DIRECTV STREAM, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, and YouTube TV all offer some kind of trial, but the exact window can vary based on when you sign up and whether you’ve subscribed before.

The most reliable pick is DIRECTV STREAM. It regularly includes a five-day free trial, which gives you plenty of time to stream race weekend and cancel afterward if you don’t want to keep the service. Hulu + Live TV can work too, since it usually offers a three-day trial, which should still cover the main event.

Fubo is where things get a little less predictable. As The Streamable’s David Satin noted, the service doesn’t always make the trial length clear even during the sign-up process. Depending on the offer you see, your trial could be as short as one day or as long as nearly a week.

YouTube TV can be inconsistent, too. The service advertises trials of “up to two weeks,” but some subscribers only get a much shorter window which can make it annoying if you’re planning around one race. Before you sign up, check the trial length on the checkout page so you know exactly how much time you’re getting.

About the 2026 NASCAR Go Bowling at The Glen

Watkins Glen is one of the Cup Series’ signature road-course stops, and it usually rewards drivers who can stay patient while still being aggressive in the right spots. The track has fast straightaways, technical braking zones, and enough elevation change to make every mistake feel expensive. That’s why strategy can get really interesting here, especially with stage points, pit timing, and track position all pulling teams in different directions. Buescher should be especially interesting, since Watkins Glen has been one of his stronger tracks and stage strategy could matter a lot on Sunday. Ross Chastain is another driver who could use this race to grab valuable points, even if a win feels like a tougher ask. Add in Connor Zilisch looking for a breakout run, and this could get messy fast.
