Don’t miss the action and drama at the WWE’s two-night SummerSlam PLE
CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, and more headline the action.
One night is over at the WWE’s biggest event of the season. Last night at this year’s SummerSlam, CM Punk won the Undisputed WWE Championship from Cody Rhodes, and Liv Morgan defeated Iyo Sky to retain her Women’s World Championship in what was arguably the match of the night. But that is not where the action ends. Night 2 will kick off on ESPN Unlimited on Sunday, Aug. 2, at 6 p.m. ET from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. If you want to make sure that you don’t miss any of the incredible drama and action, you will need to watch via ESPN Unlimited — either directly or via authentication thanks to your traditional pay-TV package. The only way to see how all the stories unfold is with a subscription to ESPN Unlimited.

When is 2026 WWE SummerSlam?
As it has been over the past few years, SummerSlam will be a two-night event. The action kicks off at 6 p.m. ET on Saturday, Aug. 1, with Night 2 taking place on Sunday, Aug. 2, with a start time also at 6 p.m. ET. All of the action will stream exclusively on ESPN Unlimited, so if you want to catch the action, you will either need to authenticate your ESPN account via your cable, satellite, or live TV streaming service account if your provider offers complimentary access, or you can sign up directly (more on that next).
Can you stream 2026 WWE SummerSlam for free?
Technically, the answer is no, but there is a loophole. ESPN’s streaming service does not offer free trials, so going directly through the streamer will require a paid subscription. However, if you subscribe to a cable, satellite, or live TV streaming service that provides access to the ESPN family of networks as part of its channel offerings, then there is a good chance that you will be able to authenticate your subscription and stream on ESPN Unlimited for no additional cost; and that is where the loophole comes in.
If you sign up for one of those services that offers a free trial — like DIRECTV’s MySports Genre Pack — you will get five days of the service at no cost, including the complimentary access to ESPN Unlimited. If you are going to go this route on one of the myriad of services available, make sure that the subscription tier you sign up for offers access to ESPN Unlimited, not just ESPN Select, which will not include the SummerSlam broadcast.
However, if you want to make sure that you have constant access to ESPN Unlimited programming, it will cost you $30 per month. The platform does have a cheaper subscription at $13 per month, but the ESPN Select option does not provide access to WWE Premium Live Events. So, you will need to go for the more expensive ESPN Unlimited option for $30.
ESPN Unlimited
ESPN launched its highly anticipated direct-to-consumer streaming service on August 21, 2025. For the first time, this service gives sports fans access to its full lineup of linear channels without a traditional cable or satellite subscription.

Everything you need to know about 2026 WWE SummerSlam
WWE’s biggest event of the summer returns as a two-night spectacle from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, with a loaded card culminating in a pair of highly personal world championship matches anchoring each night. On Saturday, newly crowned Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk will defend the belt against Cody Rhodes, who is looking to reclaim the title after losing it at Night of Champions. Also on Saturday, The Beast Brock Lesnar will look to prove he still has what it takes in his hometown by taking on The Ruler Oba Femi as their increasingly violent rivalry moves inside the Hell in a Cell.
Also on the first-night card, Liv Morgan puts the Women’s World Championship on the line against Queen of the Ring winner Iyo Sky, Gunther attempts to punish “SmackDown” General Manager Nick Aldis in Aldis’ long-awaited WWE in-ring debut, and the latest chapter in The Bloodline saga unfolds in a six-man tag team match.
Sunday’s main event renews one of WWE’s most enduring rivalries as World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns faces former Shield teammate Seth Rollins. With years of history, betrayals, and unfinished business between them, Rollins has suggested that this might be the last time they ever face off. Also on Night 2, an interim WWE Women’s Champion will be crowned in a five-woman ladder match following Rhea Ripley’s injury. Some of the best names in the women’s division will be in action, with the fifth and final spot going to a mystery opponent.
Also on Sunday, Penta defends the Intercontinental Championship against hometown challenger Chad Gable, and Trick Williams puts the United States Title on the line against the returning Baron Corbin. Sami Zayn and Finn Bálor will face off for the next shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship, making SummerSlam a weekend that could reshape nearly every major title picture in WWE heading into the fall.
