Where will WrestleMania 42 air?
This year’s WrestleMania will be historic even before any action happens in the ring. WrestleMania 42 will be the first to ever be broadcast under the ESPN umbrella. Not only does that mean that the entirety of the two-night broadcast will be available to stream on the ESPN Unlimited tier of the ESPN App, but that, for the first time ever, the ESPN family of networks will air WrestleMania matches.
On Saturday, April 18, ESPN2 will air the first hour of the telecast, from 6 to 7 p.m. ET. Then, on Sunday, April 19, the mothership, ESPN will take over the first-hour duties, broadcasting a pair of matches between 6 and 7 p.m. ET. Additionally, the networks will air special “Countdown to WrestleMania 42” preshows on their respective broadcast nights, beginning at 5 p.m. ET, leading into the opening matches.
For wrestling fans who live outside of the U.S., 2026 marks the second year that WrestleMania will air on Netflix.

ESPN Unlimited
ESPN launched its highly anticipated direct-to-consumer streaming service on August 21, 2025. For the first time, this service gives sports fans access to its full lineup of linear channels without a traditional cable or satellite subscription.
Can you stream WrestleMania 42 for free?
That’s a tricky question. Officially? No. But technically? Yes. Let us break it down. The new standalone ESPN streaming service does not offer free trials. But, since ESPN2 and ESPN will air the first hour of Saturday and Sunday night’s broadcasts, you do have options. If you are not yet subscribed to a live TV streaming service that includes the two channels, then you have a few options in terms of free trials. DIRECTV offers the longest guaranteed trial in the industry at five days and carries both ESPN channels (and more) in a multitude of packages.
Likewise, since Hulu + Live TV is owned by Disney, just as the ESPN family of networks is, it carries all of the channels and offers a three-day trial. YouTube TV is currently offering up to a 21-day free trial, but it is only available to select consumers, and Fubo has a sliding trial length from one to seven days.
Any of those options would be fine if you are just hoping to check out the opening hour of each night. However, if you want to watch the full two-night broadcast of WrestleMania, you should go with DIRECTV or Hulu + Live TV. Both of those services also provide complementary access to ESPN Unlimited as soon as you sign up for a brand new account, even during your trial period. So, sticking with them will provide access automatically.
| DIRECTV | Fubo | Hulu | Philo | Sling TV | YouTube TV | |||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free Trial | Free Trial | Free 3-Day Trial | Free Trial | Save with Sling | Free Trial | |||||
| $20.99 | $9.99 | $28.99 | $25 | $19.99 | $29.99 | $45.99 | $45.99 | $64.99 | ||

| ESPN2 | + $24 | + $59 | + $61 | - | ✓ | - | ✓ | - | ✓ | |
Now, if you already subscribe to a cable, satellite, or live TV streaming service that provides access to the ESPN family of networks as part of its channel offerings, then there is a good chance that you will be able to authenticate your subscription and stream on the ESPN for no additional cost, but you still have to pay for your initial service. YouTube TV reportedly has not yet been able to work out the technology to provide this perk to its customers, but hopes to have it in place by SummerSlam.
If you are considering paying for a subscription to the ESPN streamer for WrestleMania, it will cost you $30 per month. The platform does have a cheaper subscription at $13 monthly, but that ESPN Select option does not provide access to the WWE Premium Live Events. So, you will need to go for the more expensive ESPN Unlimited option for $30.
