About ‘Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy’
Bridget Jones is back, and this time, she’s navigating the ups and downs of single motherhood in “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.” After the heartbreaking loss of her husband, Mark Darcy, Bridget, played by Renée Zellweger, is juggling raising her two kids, reentering the dating scene, and managing her career. The film introduces new characters like Roxster, a charming younger man played by Leo Woodall, and Mr. Wallaker, her son’s science teacher, played by Chiwetel Ejiofor. Fans will also be delighted to see the return of Hugh Grant as the ever-entertaining Daniel Cleaver.
Behind the scenes, the film is directed by Michael Morris, known for his work on “To Leslie” and TV hits like “Better Call Saul.” The screenplay is penned by Bridget’s creator, Helen Fielding, along with Abi Morgan (“The Iron Lady”) and Dan Mazer (“Bridget Jones’s Baby”). While Fielding has been the driving force behind Bridget’s story from the start, this marks Morris’ first time directing in the series.
What other rom-coms can you watch on Peacock?

There’s the classic ”Notting Hill,” where a charming bookshop owner (Hugh Grant) falls for a world-famous actress (Julia Roberts), proving that love doesn’t always follow the script. For a more modern twist, ”Meet Cute” stars Kaley Cuoco and Pete Davidson in a time-loop romance where one woman keeps reliving the same first date, trying to make it perfect. And if you love a heartfelt love story with a bit of mystery, ”Definitely, Maybe” follows Ryan Reynolds as a dad telling his daughter the complicated, funny, and touching story of how he met her mother.
