About ‘Conclave’
“Conclave,” directed by Oscar winner Edward Berger and based on Robert Harris’s novel, is a gripping thriller set in the secretive world of Vatican politics. When the pope dies unexpectedly, the cardinals gather to elect his successor in a tense and high-stakes process. Ralph Fiennes plays Cardinal Thomas Lawrence, who oversees the election while uncovering hidden alliances, personal ambitions, and dark secrets among the contenders. As the plot thickens, the film dives into themes of power, faith, and loyalty, building toward a shocking twist that will leave viewers thinking long after the credits roll.
The film has great critical reviews, carrying a 93% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes and an 86% audience score. On a budget of $20 million, it has picked up just under $40 million worldwide at the box office.

You can watch the movie on Peacock at 12:01 a.m. ET on Friday, Dec. 13. Perhaps because Comcast is headquartered in Philadelphia, Peacock releases nearly all of its new titles at midnight Eastern time on the day of release, as opposed to Pacific time like many of its streaming competitors.
