Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist is the newest crime-related original with an A-list cast to hit Peacock.

One of the biggest boxing matches in American history was also the night on which one of the most daring robberies of all time was staged. That’s the premise of the new Peacock series “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist,” which premieres on Thursday, Sept. 5. A robbery occurring on the same night as the big fight is placed at the feet of one of the city’s most notorious hustlers, who must clear his name or face a long prison sentence. About ‘Fight Night: Million Dollar Heist’

This series is based on a beloved true crime podcast, bringing the story to life with an all-star cast including Don Cheadle, Kevin Hart, Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard, and Samuel L. Jackson. On the night of Muhammad Ali’s storied comeback fight in 1970, Atlanta is rocked by the most daring robbery in the city’s history.

Blame for the heist is placed at the feet of a hustler named Chicken Man (Hart), and must do whatever it takes to clear his name. But first, he has to convince his old foe J.D. Hudson (Cheadle) of his innocence. Hudson is among Atlanta’s first Black detectives after the city’s desegregation, and he immediately faces undue pressure to solve the case.
