One of the biggest boxing matches in American history was also the night on which one of the most daring robberies of all time was staged. That’s the premise of the new Peacock series “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist,” which premieres on Thursday, Sept. 5. A robbery occurring on the same night as the big fight is placed at the feet of one of the city’s most notorious hustlers, who must clear his name or face a long prison sentence. You can stream the series with a Subscription to Peacock.

About ‘Fight Night: Million Dollar Heist’
This series is based on a beloved true crime podcast, bringing the story to life with an all-star cast including Don Cheadle, Kevin Hart, Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard, and Samuel L. Jackson. On the night of Muhammad Ali’s storied comeback fight in 1970, Atlanta is rocked by the most daring robbery in the city’s history.
Blame for the heist is placed at the feet of a hustler named Chicken Man (Hart), and must do whatever it takes to clear his name. But first, he has to convince his old foe J.D. Hudson (Cheadle) of his innocence. Hudson is among Atlanta’s first Black detectives after the city’s desegregation, and he immediately faces undue pressure to solve the case.
What Titles Similar to ‘Fight Night’ Are Available on Peacock?
There are so many crime-related titles on Peacock that it would be impossible to list them all. For lovers of fast-talking hustlers and characters who are more than they appear, the streamer carries shows like “Poker Face.” True crime is available on the service in plenty, with titles like “Face to Face with Scott Peterson” available, and for fans of the good old-fashioned police procedural there are hundreds of episodes of “Law & Order: SVU” and other shows.
Peacock makes all of these shows available in its Premium plan, which is ad-supported and starts at $7.99 per month. Viewers can also upgrade to the Premium Plus option for $13.99 per month and cut out the ads, and there are annual subscription options available as well.
