About “Hysteria!”
Set during the Satanic panic of the 1980s, “Hysteria” follows a struggling high school heavy metal band of outcasts who realize they can capitalize on the disappearance of a beloved varsity quarterback as whispers of occult activity and Satatic influence break out all over town. Dethkrunch members Dylan, Jordy, and Spud rebrand themselves as a Satanic metal band until a bizarre series of murders, kidnappings, and alleged supernatural activity sets off a witch hunt with them at the center.
Emjay Anthony, Chiara Aurelia, and Kezii Curtis lead the cast as the lead trio alongside Julie Brown and Ashy Slashy himself, “Evil Dead” star Bruce Campbell. Nikki Hahn, Anna Camp, Nolan North, Garret Dillahunt, Milly Shapiro, Elijah Richardson, Allison Scagliotti, and Jessica Treska make up the supporting cast.
The eight-episode drama-thriller was created by Matthew Scott Kane.
