Don’t miss Jonah Hill and Keanu Reeves team up in ‘Outcome’
Jonah Hill directs this dark comedy about fame, fallout, and trying to make things right.
I’m really excited about “Outcome,” and a big part of that is the combo of Jonah Hill and Keanu Reeves. I’ve always liked Hill’s stuff, especially when he leans a little darker and more personal, and Reeves is just one of those guys I’ll watch in anything. He’s great on screen, and by all accounts, he’s also just an incredible human being, which makes me root for him even more. In this, he plays a Hollywood star whose life starts to unravel after a blackmail video surfaces, and that setup alone has me in. Here’s how to watch “Outcome” when it hits Apple TV on Friday, April 10.

Everything you need to know about ‘Outcome’
What time will the movie ‘Outcome’ become available?
“Outcome” premieres globally on Friday, April 10, on Apple TV. Apple hasn’t officially confirmed the exact drop time, but most of its original movies and shows usually go live at 12:01 a.m. ET. So if you’re planning to watch right away, it should be there first thing that morning, or at 9:01 p.m. if you’re on the West Coast.
Can you watch ‘Outcome’ for free?
Yep. If you’ve never subscribed before, Apple TV offers a seven-day free trial, which is more than enough time to watch “Outcome” and check out what else is on the platform. You can sign up, watch the movie, and then decide if you want to keep it.
You might also get an even longer free trial (from one to three months) if you buy an Apple device, from an iPhone to an iPad to an Apple Watch to a MacBook Pro.
Why do we recommend Apple TV to watch ‘Outcome’?
That’s easy, because it’s the only place you can watch it. “Outcome” is an Apple TV exclusive, so if you want to see it on release day, this is where it’s at. A subscription costs $13 per month, everything is ad-free, and if you’re asking me, it’s well worth it. Apple’s been putting out a lot of really solid original movies and shows, and this feels right in line with that.
Apple TV
Apple TV (formerly known as Apple TV+) is a subscription video streaming service for $14.99 per month, offering a growing slate of original series, films, documentaries, and specials. Unlike other platforms that combine licensed titles with originals, Apple TV is built entirely around exclusive programming, making it the home of critically acclaimed hits such as “Ted Lasso,” “Severance,” “The Morning Show,” and “Silo.” Its lineup continues to expand with award-winning dramas, comedies, family-friendly shows, and blockbuster original films like “CODA,” which won the Academy Award for Best Picture.
Watch the trailer for ‘Outcome’
What is ‘Outcome’ about?
“Outcome” centers on Reef Hawk, played by Keanu Reeves, a beloved Hollywood star whose life starts to spiral after he’s hit with a mysterious blackmail video that could destroy his career. Instead of running from it, Reef sets out to figure out who’s behind it, which turns into this full-on journey through his past, trying to make sense of the damage he’s done along the way. Cameron Diaz plays his longtime friend Kyle, Matt Bomer plays Xander, and Jonah Hill shows up as his crisis lawyer, Ira, which is a pretty great setup for a movie that’s clearly going to bounce between comedy and something a little more emotional.
Based on the trailer, what I like about the premise is that it’s not just about the mystery of who’s blackmailing him, it’s also about this guy being forced to take a hard look at himself. He has to confront the people he’s hurt during his life (including his mom), and I bet there’s going to be both laughs and a bit of pain for Hawk as he does it. I’m looking forward to finding out.
