Everything you need to know about ‘Silo’ Season 3
When does ‘Silo’ Season 3 come out?
“Silo” returns for Season 3 on Friday, July 3, on Apple TV. The 10-episode season kicks off with one episode that day, and then new episodes drop every Friday through Sept. 4. So yes, this is another weekly Apple rollout, which I feel is the right plan because “Silo” is way too twisty and stressful to just dump all at once.

Can you watch ‘Silo’ Season 3 for free once it starts streaming?
Yep, you can. Apple TV offers a seven-day free trial, so assuming that’s still active when Season 3 premieres, you can watch the first episode without paying. Or, if you’re more strategic, you could wait until closer to the finale and binge a bigger chunk of the season during that free-trial window. After that, Apple TV costs $13 per month, and it’s completely ad-free, which is still one of the better deals in streaming if you like big, polished sci-fi shows.
Apple TV
Apple TV (formerly known as Apple TV+) is a subscription video streaming service for $14.99 per month, offering a growing slate of original series, films, documentaries, and specials. Unlike other platforms that combine licensed titles with originals, Apple TV is built entirely around exclusive programming, making it the home of critically acclaimed hits such as “Ted Lasso,” “Severance,” “The Morning Show,” and “Silo.” Its lineup continues to expand with award-winning dramas, comedies, family-friendly shows, and blockbuster original films like “CODA,” which won the Academy Award for Best Picture.

What is ‘Silo’ Season 3 about?
There are spoilers ahead for Season 2 of ‘Silo’
Season 3 picks up after Juliette Nichols survives her forced “cleaning,” which, you know, is not exactly the kind of outdoor excursion anyone wants. But surviving is only the start of the problem. When she returns, Juliette is dealing with memory loss while the silo itself is still recovering from rebellion. That’s a messy combo. People are scared; the old order has been shaken, and now there’s a dangerous new threat moving in at the worst possible time.
The big swing this season is that “Silo” isn’t just staying in the present. Season 3 also goes back centuries earlier to the “Before Times,” following journalist Helen Drew and Congressman Daniel Keene as they uncover a conspiracy that leads to catastrophic, irreversible consequences. Basically, we’re finally digging into how this whole underground society came to be, who built the silos, and why the truth has been buried for so long. And since “Silo” is already renewed for a fourth and final season, this penultimate season should start answering some major questions while setting up the endgame.
Who stars in ‘Silo’ Season 3?
Rebecca Ferguson is back as Juliette Nichols, and she also executive produces the series. The returning cast includes Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Rick Gomez, Billy Postlethwaite, Clare Perkins, and Steve Zahn. Season 3 also brings in Ashley Zukerman as Daniel Keene and Jessica Henwick as Helen Drew after both appeared in the Season 2 finale. The cast expands even more with Laura Innes, Jessica Brown Findlay, Morven Christie, Reed Birney, Matt Craven, and recurring guest star Colin Hanks. So yeah, the world is getting bigger fast.
Silo
In a ruined and toxic future, thousands live in a giant silo deep underground. After its sheriff breaks a cardinal rule and residents die mysteriously, engineer Juliette starts to uncover shocking secrets and the truth about the silo.
