The Golden State Warriors’ superstar guard Steph Curry is taking on a new role: actor in a hit comedy series! Curry will be a headliner on the new series “Mr. Throwback,” which will premiere Thursday, Aug. 8 on Peacock. The series follows a sports memorabilia seller who has run through his inventory, and decides to turn to his old friend Steph for help. Viewers will be able to stream the show exclusively with a Subscription to Peacock.

Danny Grossman was one of the most phenomenal middle school basketball players to ever lace up his sneakers. Even NBA legend Steph Curry, who was on Danny’s team way back in the day couldn’t overcome his talent and push past Danny into the starting lineup. But that was a long time ago, and things are very different for Danny nowadays.

As an adult, Danny is little more than a salesman with nothing to sell. He’s a sports memorabilia dealer, which means his customers show him little respect, and he stands a good chance of being robbed. Reaching the bottom of the barrel, Danny turns to his old teammate Steph for help, even if the basketball star is a little busy these days…
