According to the streamer, the latest season of the reality show has compiled more than 18 billion viewing minutes.

It’s hard to say what’s been hotter: the temperatures this summer, or the ratings for “Love Island” this season. The seventh season of “Love Island USA” was released on June 3, and according to Peacock, it has jumped to the top of the list of most-watched original TV seasons on the streamer in the eight intervening weeks.

Key Details:

  • Better by billions: Peacock says “Love Island” Season 7 has been streamed for 18 billion minutes.
  • Topping the charts: Nielsen says the show was the No. 1 streaming original title in its finale week.
  • Accolades on accolades: Data from Luminate shows “Love Island” Season 7 was the fifth-most-watched show of the first half of 2025.

According to data from Peacock as reported by Deadline, “Love Island USA” Season 7 has been streamed for over 18 billion minutes so far. That makes it the most-watched original TV season in the streamer’s history, especially impressive since the show only premiered on June 3.

The show is compiling plenty of honors. Nielsen has revealed that “Love Island USA” Season 7 was the top streaming original title in the week of its finale on July 13. Additionally, the title was the No. 1 streaming reality show for six consecutive weeks, showing it had plenty of staying power.

Data shared by Luminate on Monday showed that “Love Island USA” Season 7 was the fifth-most-watched series in the first half of 2025. That’s despite the fact that Luminate stopped measuring viewing in the first half of the year on July 3, just one month after “Love Island” debuted its seventh season.

Peacock clearly has something with the “Love Island” franchise. It also told Deadline that the documentary spinoff series “Love Island: Beyond the Villa” has scored the largest audience for an unscripted debut on the streamer. It begs the question of where else the service will go with the “Love Island” franchise as it tries to continue growing in the years to come.

The data also shows why Bravo wasn’t included in the list of cable channels that NBCUniversal is spinning off into their own separate company. The reality genre is alive and well for the company, and Peacock is one of the best services available for watching that subset of shows.
