‘Surviving Black Hawk Down’ limited series premiere | Netflix
Hollywood has already turned the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu into a blockbuster Hollywood movie in “Black Hawk Down,” but there’s a good chance many fans of that movie have never gone deeper into the story. Netflix’s three-part docuseries “Surviving Black Hawk Down” is a chance for viewers to rectify that omission.
The series gets first-hand perspectives of the ill-fated mission from people who were actually there. Both U.S. soldiers and Somali fighters give their reports of what happened that day, and how the experience changed their lives forever, with tragic consequences for both sides.

‘Broken Rage’ streaming premiere | Prime Video
At first glance, this movie is little more than a gritty crime thriller centering on a hitman. Caught between the police and yakuza, Nezumi must fight battle after battle just to survive, and there are plenty of big action set pieces and explosions to be had.
The second half of the movie turns it completely on its head, however. It switches to a comedy movie that retells the same story but with a self-parodying touch. Director Takeshi Kitano has called it an “experimental endeavor,” and it sounds like one of the most interesting movies to arrive in streaming in quite some time.

‘Yellowjackets’ Season 3 premiere | Paramount+ with SHOWTIME
Just how wild are things going to get on this season of “Yellowjackets”? The show centers a team of wildly talented high school girls’ soccer players who survive a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together 25 years later.
Last season, we saw the “Yellowjackets” girls in the past resort to some truly hair-curling methods of survival, all under the influence of Lottie’s leadership. In the present day, the group became more and more suspicious of each other following a murder, and the season culminated in the shocking death of one of the women who endured the crash so many years earlier.
