Now, Disney has announced when the hit animated musical will be available to stream on Disney+, and fans won’t have to wait too much longer.

The release date aligns with other recent big movies from Disney like Deadpool & Wolverine” and “Inside Out 2,” both of which remained in theaters for more than 100 days.
“Moana 2” sees the titular heroine embark on another epic journey with the aid of the god Maui. After receiving a message from ancestors who traveled the oceans long ago, Moana decides to set sail for Oceania in an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced before.
When it was first conceived, “Moana 2” was intended to be a streaming TV series on Disney+. However, the company decided to convert it into a feature-length film, in order to capitalize on the potential box office returns. The move paid off, as “Moana 2” grossed more than $1 billion around the world, becoming the third-highest earner of the year.
