The Way Home and more Hallmark content is heading to Netflix thanks to an expansion of the output deal between the two.

Last fall, Netflix and Hallmark Channel made fans of the channel’s heartwarming content immensely happy by announcing 10 holiday originals would be licensed to the streamer. Apparently, that brought holiday joy to all involved, because Netflix and Hallmark are expanding that deal in 2025.

Key Details:

  • More content coming: Netflix will get TV episodes as well as movies in its deal with Hallmark.
  • Spread the love: Valentine’s Day-themed movies will be available on Netflix in January.
  • Global reach: Netflix will begin offering Hallmark content outside the United States as well.

As first detailed by The Hollywood Reporter, Hallmark and Netflix are expanding their deal by including additional content that will be sent to the streamer going forward. That starts with TV; in October, the first two seasons of the Hallmark series “The Way Home” will become available on Netflix.

Season 3 of that show will stream on Netflix in February 2026, and Season 4 will roll out later in the year, after its debut on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark+. The deal will also include the licensing of several Valentine’s Day movies from Hallmark, which will begin appearing on Netflix in January 2026.

“We remain committed to our core mission at Hallmark, which is to spread joy and positivity through the world with our critically acclaimed movie and episodic content,” Hallmark Media VP Jesse Wallace said. “The global reach of Netflix is unparalleled, and we are excited to expose our content to new and existing Hallmark fans on Netflix. With this branded content licensing agreement, we can serve fans where they are, while also driving fans (new and existing) to our linear channels and/or Hallmark+ for our newest content and the entire Hallmark content library.”

The expanded deal will also see Hallmark titles become available in markets where they were not previously found. Select markets outside the United States will get several Hallmark Christmas titles on Netflix, starting in November and continuing through January.

Last year’s deal saw Netflix acquire the ability to stream 10 holiday movies from Hallmark, and the deal was beneficial to both sides, bringing more viewers to the Hallmark+ platform as well. This fall, viewers will be able to see even more Hallmark content on the world’s largest streamer.
