Y: Marshals has a new trailer available now on CBS.

Anticipation is building for the release of the new Taylor Sheridan drama series “Y: Marshals.” The show is the first follow-up to the fan-favorite show “Yellowstone,” which aired its final episode at the end of 2024. The release date of “Y: Marshals” is drawing ever closer, and that means the promotional campaign for the show is heating up — as evidenced by the release of a new trailer for the series on Monday.

Key Details:

  • Get a sneak peek: Watch the new trailer for “Y: Marshals” below.
  • See you in spring: The series will be released on March 1.
  • Not done with Duttons: The show follows Kayce Dutton and a special unit of U.S. Marshals.

The trailer shows Kayce Dutton still reeling from the loss of so many family members following the conclusion of “Yellowstone,” and unsure of his path forward. Introduced to a special team of U.S. Marshals that are tasked with protecting Montana, Kayce seems to find a new purpose to keep him going after all.

Earlier this month, Paramount announced that “Y: Marshals” would be premiering on the CBS broadcast channel on March 1. It’s the first Sheridan title set in the Dutton-verse specifically made to air on that channel, and episodes will stream on Paramount+ the day after they air on linear TV.

The series is the next title set in the “Yellowstone” universe, but there are several others in various stages of production, including “The Madison,” “Dutton Ranch,” and “1944,” all of which are likely bound for Paramount-owned channels in the next few years.

Sheridan will keep churning out titles for Paramount as part of his overall deal with the studio, but that arrangement has a ticking clock on it. Starting in 2029, Sheridan will move to NBCUniversal for a new content development deal, leaving Paramount behind.

With the Yellowstone Ranch behind him, Kayce Dutton joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana, where he and his teammates must balance family, duty and the high psychological cost that comes with serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence.
