Can You Stream ‘The Ministry for Ungentlemanly Warfare’ This Weekend? When Will It Arrive on STARZ, Roku, Peacock?

The newest Lionsgate movie will make the rounds once it heads to streaming, and we’ll give you our best guess as to when it would be.

Heads up, Guy Ritchie fans! The noted auteur is ready to debut his latest work, as his new movie “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” is preparing to bow in theaters around the United States on Friday, April 19. The film stars Henry Cavill, all but guaranteeing explosive action and plenty of dry British wit.

  • “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” has been praised by critics as a high-octane spectacle.
  • The film is being distributed by Lionsgate in the United States.
  • STARZ, The Roku Channel and Peacock will all stream the film, and we’ll break down which streamer will get it when.

“The Ministry for Ungentlemanly Warfare” is a retelling of the real-life World War II mission Operation Postmaster. British shipping is under critical threat from German U-boat operations, so Prime Minister Winston Churchill assembles a crack team of operators to sabotage an important resupply base and help give the country a fighting chance against the Nazis.

The movie has managed to pull a 71% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, with a 93% audience score to boot. Reviewers praise the movie’s excellent action pieces, as well as the tone of spectacle that Ritchie usually brings to his movies.

When Will ‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’ Stream?

“The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” is being distributed by Lionsgate in the United States, which means it will walk a winding, irregular path once it’s ready to stream. The movie will be sent to STARZ as its first streaming home, then to the free streaming platform The Roku Channel for an unspecified, exclusive window. Once it’s done on The Roku Channel, the movie shifts to Peacock, but unfortunately, the length of time stipulated for Lionsgate movies to stay on each service is not public information.

With that in mind, viewers are likely wondering when it will reach the first of these three destinations, STARZ. Unfortunately for audiences hoping for a quick streaming turnaround time, Lionsgate will likely give the film plenty of time to show in theaters and be purchased/rented on-demand from platforms that allow viewers to watch movies that are still only in cinemas.

For example, “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” will not hit STARZ until May 14, 179 days from its November 2023 theatrical release. “John Wick: Chapter 4,” an explosive action movie much like “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” spent took 186 days to reach STARZ after its March 2023 debut in cinemas. In The Streamable’s expert opinion, “The Ministry” will likely utilize a similar window.

Using the nice, round number of 175 days, we predict that “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” will arrive on STARZ on Friday, October 11. Viewers who want a break from all the horror movies that hit streamers around Halloween will be thankful to cleanse their palates with the latest outrageous action flick from Guy Ritchie.
