New month, new titles! With January underway, Max has released dozens of library titles, including “The Breakfast Club,” “Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb,” and much, much more.

But the streamer is preparing for a big month from all of its brands, including the Bleacher Report, the platform will carry multiple big match-ups, including the NBA Rivals Week games on Jan. 23 (New York Knicks at Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers at LA Clippers) and Jan. 25 (Boston Celtics at Miami Heat and Sacramento Kings at Golden State Warriors).

There’s plenty more still to come throughout the month, including the highly anticipated return of “True Detective” with its latest installment, entitled “Night Country” and starring Jodie Foster and Kali Reis.

Narrated by Taraji P. Henson, the HBO Original follows and reveres the legendary poet, commentator, activist, and educator Nikki Giovani through the revolutionary periods in which she wrote — and continues to write — from the Civil Rights Movement to the Black Lives Matter movement. The award-winning project “reckons with the inevitable passing of time through a collision of memories, moments in American history, live readings, and visually innovative treatments of Giovanni’s poetry.”

True Detective: Night Country” | Sunday, Jan. 14

The latest installment of the hit anthology series is set in Ennis, Alaska, where the eight men who operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace. To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers (Jodie Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Kali Reis) will have to dig into the truths beneath the ice and confront both the external and internal darkness. The season will also feature Finn Bennett, Fiona Shaw, Christopher Eccleston, Isabella Star LaBlanc, John Hawkes, Anna Lambe, Aka Niviâna, June Thiele, Diane Benson, Joel D. Montgrand, and more.

Sort Of” Season 3 | Thursday, Jan. 18

The Canadian sitcom stars Bilal Baig as Sabi Mehboob, a non-binary millennial trying to balance their roles as child, caregiver, worker, and person. As their life gets shaken up following the death of their father, Sabi will embrace the freedom that comes with taking big risks. Baig leads the cast of Gray Powell, Kaya Kanashiro, Aden Bedard, Amanda Cordner, Grace Lynn Kung, Ellora Patnaik, Supinder Wraich, and more.

Rick and Morty” Season 7 | Monday, Jan. 22

The world’s favorite dysfunctional interdimensional duo is back, and Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden make their debuts as Rick and Morty, respectively, in the recently concluded Season 7. Chris Parnell, Spencer Grammer, and Sarah Chalke make up the rest of the principal voice cast, and the 10-episode season also featured Tom Kenny, Susan Sarandon, and Kari Wahlgren with guest voice appearances from Dan Harmon, Hugh Jackman, Keith David, Christina Hendricks, Ice-T, and more.
