Roku announces key updates to in-house manufactured TV sets
Roku’s 2025 line of smart TVs will introduce new features that will help improve the viewing experience.
Alongside announcing some new streaming sticks, Roku has announced that it will make some key improvements to its in-house smart TVs. Roku first got into the TV-making business for itself more than two years ago, but it isn’t satisfied with simply selling the same model year after year. The company has made some key improvements to its smart TVs, which will roll out with new 2025 models.
Key Details:
- Custom calibration: New Roku Pro Series sets will be specially tuned to deliver better quality picture.
- Enjoy the view: Roku’s Smart Picture Max is being added to its Plus Series sets.
- Are you listening?: Roku is including Bluetooth Headphone Mode for all its in-house sets.
Improvements to the 2025 model Roku TVs begin with the Pro Series, which launched in April 2024. This is the highest-end line of smart TVs Roku makes in-house, and each set will now come with custom factory calibration, so that each TV gives viewers a fantastic picture quality right out of the box.
Roku is also launching some key updates for its Plus Series TVs, which were introduced to customers in 2023. The Plus Series line will now have Roku Smart Picture Max integrated, a feature that automatically adjusts picture settings on a scene-by-scene basis for a superior picture quality without having to mess with controls.
The Plus Series will also come with mini-LED backlighting, offering better dynamic contrast, deeper blacks, and a wider range of colors. The remote finder button has been installed in Plus Series remote controls as well, so owners spend less time looking for their remote when it slips between the couch cushions.

Finally, all Roku TV sets — including the budget-friendly Select Series — will now offer Bluetooth Headphone Mode. This lets viewers connect a set of Bluetooth-powered headphones directly to the TV for private listening, so they can hear their chosen show, movie, or music streaming service with perfect clarity while walking around the house.
All of these updates will roll out with 2025 models of Roku TVs, which should be available at major retailers soon.
