Scripps to add 6 live channels to Peacock, including Ion
Peacock already offers several live channels, and they’ll be joined by Ion and more offerings from Scripps.
Peacock is a multi-faceted streaming service, one that includes on-demand originals, movies from Universal, and a ton of live sports. The streamer even offers a lineup of live channels, and that inventory is growing. On Thursday, the E.W. Scripps company announced that six of its channels would be joining Peacock to stream 24 hours per day.
Key Details:
- Great new choices: Peacock is adding Ion, Bounce, Court TV, and more from Scripps.
- Basketball bonanza: The addition of Ion means that WNBA games will soon stream on Peacock.
- Lots of options: Peacock offers a variety of live news, sports, and entertainment channels.
As announced on Thursday, Peacock has imported six channels from Scripps. These channels are available to customers on Peacock now, and if you don’t see them on your account just yet, keep an eye out; they’ll likely be joining your plan very soon.
The channels joining Peacock include Ion, Ion Mystery, Court TV, [Court TV Legendary Trials], Bounce TV, and Scripps News. These channels will bring a wide range of content to Peacock, including more live sports, coverage of the biggest legal cases in the United States, original TV shows and movies designed for Black audiences, and more.
Of particular interest to fans should be the WNBA contests appearing on Ion. That channel offers marquee WNBA contests each Friday night, and those broadcasts will join NBA game streams on Peacock starting in fall 2025. Given that Peacock also streams college basketball from the Big Ten and Big East, the platform is building quite a collection of basketball rights.
Peacock has a large selection of live TV channels on its service, with options in plenty of categories. Fans can watch channels like REELZ on Peacock, stream free news from around the country, watch single-show channels dedicated to favorites like “Law & Order: SVU,” and much more.
