Sling TV to offer $1 Day Pass if an underdog makes the Sweet 16
The limited-time promotion will let customers get Sling’s Day Pass for just $1 if a 12-16 seed advances to the top 16 in either March Madness tournament.
Everyone loves a Cinderella story during March Madness, but a new announcement from Sling TV will have even more fans rooting for the underdog this year. Sling is partnering with Washington Wizards guard Trae Young for a new promotion that will allow viewers to sign up for Passes — which offer limited-time access to the Sling Orange channel package — for just $1 per day if one of the 20 lowest seeds in either the men’s or women’s tournament advances past opening weekend.
Key Details:
- Big deal: Sling has teamed with Trae Young to offer Day Passes for just $1.
- Key condition: The deal will take effect if a 12-to-16 seed advances to the final 16 in the Men’s or Women’s tournament.
- Patience pays: Customers can choose to redeem a $1 Day Pass offer any time through the national championship game.
Sling and Young’s new “When Underdogs Win, You Win” promotion begins on the first day of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament on Thursday, March 19. Any fan who purchases a Sling TV Pass for one day, three days, or seven days during the opening weekend of the 2026 Men’s and Women’s NCAA Basketball Tournaments (March 19 through 22) will be eligible to win if a lower seed keeps up its end of the bargain.
If any 12 through 16 seeds advance to the final 16 in either tournament, Sling will give all viewers who made a qualifying purchase the opportunity to sign up for a Day Pass for just $1 — 80% off the standard price of $5 for that Pass.
Winners will receive an email to redeem their special $1 offer, which can be used any time until the championship game on April 6. Since the Men’s national championship is available on TNT, TBS, and truTV this year, fans will be able to watch it with a Sling TV Day Pass. Viewers will be able to watch any women’s tournament games on ESPN or ESPN2 with Sling Orange as well.
“Our Passes are about redefining flexibility in live TV,” Sling TV SVP Seth Van Sickel said. “Fans should have the flexibility to tune in for the biggest moments in sports when they want. With this underdog-driven offer, we’re rewarding viewers for watching the tournament’s most exciting surprises.”
Viewers can get a Day Pass at the normal price of $5, a three-day Pass for $10, or a seven-day Pass for $15, and unlock all the channels in Sling Orange for their subscription term.
