How many subscribers do top streamers have?

Our experts are tracking the number of subscribers every top streamer lays claim to in the United States.

Known for breaking major streaming stories, he’s covered everything from Netflix policy shifts to Peacock’s ad-tier changes. A sci-fi fan and Toshiba Fire TV user, he brings sharp analysis and a love for the genre to his reporting.
This article charts streaming subscriber totals as of most recent updates.

Although raw subscriber numbers aren’t quite the yardstick of streaming success that they used to be, they’re still useful for gauging the relative success of platforms. Subscriber data for streaming services can give audiences and analysts an easy way to measure a streamer’s popularity, and big changes from quarter to quarter can portend either success or failure ahead for a given service. Unfortunately, as of 2026, so few streaming services offer regular public updates on their subscriber numbers, leaving analysts to assemble the data as best we can.

With that in mind, The Streamable has put together the subscription totals of every major streaming service in the United States, as well as their key revenue statistics. With this data, viewers will be able to get a brief look at each streamer’s health at a glance and see which services have the high ground in subscribers, and which claim the biggest profit margins.

How many subscribers do top streamers have?

How many subscribers do major on-demand streamers have?

Streaming Service Subscriber total North American subscribers Most recent update
Netflix 325 million At least 89.63 million Q4 2025
Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Select 219.8 million 109 million (not accounting for bundle overlap) Fiscal Q4 2025
Apple TV ~45 million (Estimate) N/A Q1 2025
HBO Max, discovery+ 140 million N/A Q1 2026
Paramount+ 81.6 million N/A Q2 2026
Peacock 48 million 41 million Q2 2026
Prime Video 200 million+ N/A April 2024

It’s important to note a few things when looking at these numbers. First, Warner Bros. Discovery doesn’t break out its streaming subscriber numbers by service, so its total includes HBO Max and discovery+ — though it’s fair to assume that most of those customers are on the former service. WBD also doesn’t give details on which subscribers are where in the world, nor does Paramount+. Paramount has begun merging all of its entertainment streaming numbers onto a single platform, consolidating its numbers.

Neither Apple TV nor Prime Video reveals subscriber totals for their streaming services publicly on a regular basis. Apple has never given this information, and Prime Video last unveiled its subscriber total of 200 million in 2024, but those totals include every Amazon Prime subscriber, whether they use Prime Video or not, since the streamer is included as a benefit.

What key revenue numbers are available from top streamers?

Streaming Service Revenue earned last quarter Profit
Netflix $12.56 billion $3.4 billion
Disney+ and Hulu $5.53 billion $712 million
Apple TV N/A N/A
HBO Max, discovery+ $3.08 billon $512 million
Paramount+ $2.47 billion $366 million
Peacock $1.9 billion $189 million
Prime Video N/A N/A

Once again, there are a few important notes to go over. Neither Apple nor Amazon breaks out specific financial data for their video streaming services, and only report company-wide revenue numbers. Disney, WBD, and Paramount all report their various entertainment streaming services as a single financial unit.

These services are only available in the United States, and many do not regularly report their subscriber totals along with the rest of their earnings data. Few of these services provide specific financial data with their quarterly earnings reports, offering scant details.
