T-Mobile’s Apple TV perk will soon cost $3 per month
Previously, the telecom company offered Apple TV subscriptions to select subscribers for free.
T-Mobile offers a range of different streaming services at no additional cost to customers of its 5G Home Internet and mobile voice plans. Users on select plans can even get streaming services like Netflix and Hulu for free, and, for a long time, users of the Experience More and Experience Beyond plans were offered free subscriptions to Apple TV. But as of this week, T-Mobile has updated its policies to inform new and existing customers that very soon, Apple TV will no longer be offered for free.
Key Details:
- Free ride’s over: T-Mobile will begin charging $3 per month for Apple TV access to customers who formerly got it free.
- Price increase, too: Those who had been getting billed for Apple TV through T-Mobile will see their price rise from $10 per month to $13.
- Other streamers still free: T-Mobile is still offering free Netflix and Hulu subscriptions to users of select plans.
T-Mobile will begin charging $3 per month for the Apple TV perk for all customers who formerly received the streaming service for free as part of their subscription. The changeover isn’t taking effect right away, but is scheduled for Jan. 1, 2026, giving subscribers a little time to get used to the idea that the formerly free benefit will now cost them a little bit of money.
Apple TV subscribers who are billed for the service at full price through T-Mobile will see that price go up. In September, Apple TV raised prices from $10 per month to $13, but that changeover hadn’t made its way to T-Mobile-billed customers yet. As of Jan. 1, that will change, and T-Mobile customers will pay the same $13 per month that all other viewers of the streamer owe.
It’s not clear yet why T-Mobile is discontinuing the On Us Apple TV benefit. It’s likely that the deal simply costs T-Mobile too much to make it worthwhile, so now, the telecom provider is passing the cost along to its subscribers.
Customers on the Experience More, Experience Beyond, Go5G Plus, Go5G Next, Magenta MAX, Magenta Plus, and ONE Plus plans still get a $10 discount off their Apple TV subscriptions, but the $3 leftover will henceforth come out of the customer’s pocket. Any viewers on a six-month trial of Apple TV through T-Mobile will continue on that trial, but will renew at the $13 monthly price.
There are still extra streaming benefits to be had from T-Mobile, even though Apple TV will now cost at least a few dollars each month. Experience More customers still get a no-cost Netflix Standard with Ads subscription from T-Mobile, and Experience Beyond subscribers also get Hulu with ads thrown in.

Apple TV
Apple TV (formerly known as Apple TV+) is a subscription video streaming service for $14.99 per month, offering a growing slate of original series, films, documentaries, and specials. Unlike other platforms that combine licensed titles with originals, Apple TV is built entirely around exclusive programming, making it the home of critically acclaimed hits such as “Ted Lasso,” “Severance,” “The Morning Show,” and “Silo.” Its lineup continues to expand with award-winning dramas, comedies, family-friendly shows, and blockbuster original films like “CODA,” which won the Academy Award for Best Picture.
