It’s really happening, “Ted Lasso” fans. The feel-good series is returning with a new season in 2026, and thanks to an announcement from Apple, we finally have a better idea of when. The wait for “Ted Lasso” Season 4 won’t be too long, and fans can see the first preview images from the new season below!
Key Details:
- Heating up: “Ted Lasso” Season 6 will return in summer 2026.
- New faces: Preview images reveal new characters, as well as the recasting of a familiar face.
- Take a bite!: All previous seasons of “Ted Lasso” are available on Apple TV.
“Ted Lasso” Season 4 will officially be released at some point in 2026. The announcement follows the first concrete piece of news fans have received about the show in months. In summer 2025, Apple released a short teaser to confirm a new season was in the works, but since then, updates have been scarce.
The show’s star and creator, Jason Sudeikis, was confirmed to be returning for its fourth season early last year, and he’ll be joined by Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent), Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard), Jeremy Swift (Leslie Higgins), Juno Temple (Keeley Jones), and Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca Welton). The show will also welcome Tanya Reynolds as a new assistant coach for the AFC Richmond women’s club, and you can see her in the preview images below.

One returning character being played by a new performer this season will be Ted’s son, Henry, who will now be played by Grant Feely. As can be seen in the preview photos, Henry will follow Ted to England for at least part of the new season.
Rumblings about a fourth season of “Ted Lasso” began in earnest in 2024, despite the show’s creators’ original intention that the story be limited to a three-season arc. A continuing undercurrent of support from fans made it all the easier for Apple to revive the series once Sudeikis and company were on board.
All three previous seasons of “Ted Lasso” are available to stream on Apple TV now. The streamer has just one plan with no ads, which costs $13 per month. New customers get a seven-day free trial of Apple TV, which should give you ample time to binge through the first three seasons of the show to catch up for Season 4 before summer.
Apple TV
Apple TV (formerly known as Apple TV+) is a subscription video streaming service for $14.99 per month, offering a growing slate of original series, films, documentaries, and specials. Unlike other platforms that combine licensed titles with originals, Apple TV is built entirely around exclusive programming, making it the home of critically acclaimed hits such as “Ted Lasso,” “Severance,” “The Morning Show,” and “Silo.” Its lineup continues to expand with award-winning dramas, comedies, family-friendly shows, and blockbuster original films like “CODA,” which won the Academy Award for Best Picture.
