Tennis Channel streaming service joins Prime Video
Tennis Channel streaming service joins Prime Video
Customers can now add the Tennis Channel through the Prime Video digital store, and stream it through the Prime Video app.
The Tennis Channel wants to bring more people to the court, and the best way to do that is to expand access to its direct-to-consumer (DTC) streaming service. The Sinclair-owned cable channel has reached a deal with Amazon to distribute its streamer via the Prime Video digital store, allowing Prime Video subscribers to sign up for an account and watch Tennis Channel content all through the same app as they use to watch episodes of “Fallout,” live NBA games, and more.
Key Details:
- Serving customers: Tennis Channel’s DTC service is now available on Prime Video.
- Other platforms soon: The streamer will likely join Roku’s digital store soon, as well.
- Huge amount of access: The Tennis Channel streamer carries hundreds of live matches every year.
Prime Video subscribers will find the Tennis Channel streamer available in the Subscriptions tab, or by searching for it by name. A subscription costs $12 per month, and viewers can stream live action starting with the 2026 BNP Paribas Open, happening now.
Bloomberg’s Lucas Shaw spoke to Tennis Channel executive Jeff Blackburn about the addition of the service to Prime Video’s online marketplace. Blackburn explained that Tennis Channel’s future is digital and that there’s an opportunity to convert the large number of tennis enthusiasts into paying subscribers.
Shaw also reports that Sinclair is looking to keep expanding distribution of the Tennis Channel streamer, which will join the Roku store in the coming months as well. A larger distribution network will certainly help the service get in front of as many eyes as possible.
Tennis Channel first launched its DTC service in late 2024. It offers access to the WTA and ATP seasons, including tournaments, on-demand replays, original content, and more. It also includes a live stream of the Tennis Channel cable network. Fans can sign up for the service directly through the Tennis Channel website, but can now also find it through Prime Video.
