Use Tubi to shop for game day essentials ahead of Super Bowl LIX
The free streaming service now offers a digital shopping experience on its mobile apps.
Tubi is going all out to prepare for its stream of Super Bowl LIX on Sunday. The free streaming service wants to ensure fans have everything they need for the Big Game and is rolling out a new experience to ensure that outcome: a partnership with Shopsense AI to create digital storefronts on its mobile apps.
Key Details:
- Tubi’s digital stores are inspired by the “Tubi Red Carpet at Super Bowl LIX” show.
- Stores will be available through Feb. 9.
- Browsers will be able to purchase fashion inspired by wives and girlfriends of players and much more.
The new shoppable experience on Tubi includes highly curated digital storefronts inspired by the “Tubi Red Carpet at Super Bowl LIX” show, which will be hosted by Olivia Culpo. The show will lead into Tubi's free, 4K stream of the Super Bowl itself.
Once inside the shopping experience, viewers will be able to purchase game day party essentials, fashion trends inspired by wives and girlfriends of the players, team apparel, fan gear, and much more. The experience will be available on Tubi’s mobile apps, though I couldn’t find it when I tried to dig in on my Android device.
Fans will be able to access the digital stores through Feb. 9, Super Bowl Sunday. If the partnership is a success, Tubi may roll out more shopping experiences surrounding major programming events in the future, though it will be hard-pressed to find a bigger programming event than the Super Bowl.
“Tubi’s collaboration with Shopsense AI is an important step forward in blending entertainment and commerce for brands and consumers through retail media CTV partnerships,” said Jeff Lucas, Chief Revenue Officer, Tubi. “Our commitment to delivering premium entertainment that is free and accessible, combined with an incremental audience that is incredibly passionate about our content, allows us to experiment in ways that are tangible and truly interactive. Shoppable integrations are the next frontier for ad-supported streaming services, and we look forward to continuing to explore what’s possible with Shopsense AI.”
As mentioned, Tubi will present the Super Bowl live in Ultra-High-Definition 4K for free. The streamer will even allow viewers to see the same commercials they would find on the linear Super Bowl broadcast. Super Bowl LIX between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will kick off on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 6:30 p.m. ET on Fox.
