What can you expect from streamers at San Diego Comic Con?
The convention is always a hotbed of announcements for top titles, and we’ll run through what we expect to see at SDCC 2025.
San Diego Comic Con 2025 is only a week away! The convention opens on July 24, and we expect to see some big announcements from top streamers and studios in attendance. But which franchises will drop the biggest news at the convention? Which could leave fans disappointed? We’ll explore all the titles we expect to get details on at SDCC 2025, and which ones have already been confirmed to be on hand as well.
What to expect from major streamers at SDCC 2025
What to expect from Disney+ at SDCC 2025
Disney has already confirmed several panels for SDCC 2025. Viewers will be able to enter the world of “Percy Jackson & The Olympians,” which will release its second season on Disney+ in December. Fans will be able to enjoy an interactive “Percy Jackson” experience starting on Thursday, July 24, and it’s likely that Disney will use the event to show off some footage from the new season.
Additionally, Disney will host a “Phineas and Ferb” panel on Friday, July 25.
Marvel Studios will have a smaller presence at this year’s Comic Con and will not have a presentation at the convention’s marquee Hall H this year. There will still be promotions for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” and I expect the studio to release some new details about “Wonder Man,” which debuts on Disney+ in December. However, with Disney’s own fanfest, D23, happening on Aug. 29-31, it is far more likely that there will be major announcements there.
We could also get new details about “Star Wars: Visions,” which will release its third season in October. But the real treat for Star Wars fans will be the first-ever Comic Con appearance by George Lucas, which will happen on Sunday, July 27. Lucas will be on hand to discuss his new Lucas Museum of Narrative Art.

What to expect from Hulu at SDCC 2025
Hulu will have a large presence at SDCC 2025. The streamer will offer panels for “Abbott Elementary,” “Alien: Earth,” “American Dad,” “Bob's Burgers,” “Family Guy,” “Futurama,” the new season of “King of the Hill,” “Paradise,” “Predator: Badlands,” “The Rookie,” “The Simpsons,” and “Solar Opposites” over the course of the convention.
Each of these panels will likely feature new footage from their upcoming seasons.
What to expect from HBO Max at SDCC 2025
Like Marvel, DC isn’t doing a traditional Hall H presentation to show off its ambitions for the year. However, the streaming series “Peacemaker” will make an appearance, including an interactive experience and a panel featuring DC Studios co-head James Gunn and the cast of the show on Saturday, June 26.
However, HBO Max will be bringing plenty of non-DC titles to SDCC 2025. The streamer will give viewers an interactive experience for its upcoming series “IT: Welcome to Derry,” including an early sneak peek with first-look footage on Saturday, July 26.
Adult Swim will present panels for “Rick & Morty” and “Smiling Friends,” and will place its infamous pirate ship outside the convention center to celebrate other programming as well.
Unfortunately, it appears that “House of the Dragon” will be skipping Comic Con this year, but it will be interesting to see if any other projects set in the “Game of Thrones” universe will have a presence. I’d also keep a lookout for new details about the “Harry Potter” TV series, which recently started filming.
What to expect from Paramount+ at SDCC 2025
Paramount+ will offer a Star Trek Universe panel on Saturday, July 26. The cast and producers of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” will be on hand, and fans will also get their first look at the upcoming series “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy” as well.
In addition, viewers will be treated to a panel for the new “NCIS: Tony & Ziva” series on Thursday, July 24.
What to expect from Peacock at SDCC 2025
Peacock viewers will get a chance to see a panel for “Twisted Metal,” including an exclusive sneak peek at the show’s second season. There will also be a bumper car experience from “Twisted Metal” at the convention for fans to get fully immersed in the show’s universe. “Five Nights at Freddy's 2” will also be in attendance at SDCC 2025, and panels for both titles will be held on Thursday, July 24.
What to expect from Prime Video at SDCC 2025
Prime Video will have a large presence at SDCC 2025. On Thursday, July 24, fans will be able to attend panels for “Hazbin Hotel,” “The Legend of Vox Machina,” and “The Mighty Nein.”
The fun continues on Friday, July 25, when Greg Daniels and the cast of “Upload” tease the final season and reminisce about the show’s run. Next, the streamer will offer a sneak peek at its upcoming series “Butterfly,” followed by a panel for the second season of “The Boys” spinoff “Gen V.”
What to expect from STARZ at SDCC 2025
STARZ will be discussing the eighth and final season of “Outlander” on Friday, July 25, with a Hall H panel. Fans will also get a sneak peek of the season. Another Hall H panel will give viewers a first look at the new “Outlander” spinoff “Outlander: Blood of My Blood” on Friday.
