Where to find the best deals on Apple TV devices
Where to find the best deals on Apple TV devices
If you’ve set your sights on an Apple TV 4K streaming player, we’ll explain where to find the best deals on a new one and more below.
At The Streamable, we know how hard it can be to shop for a new streaming device. Even for our experts, it can be difficult to keep up with all the differences between the top streaming device models on the market, especially since manufacturers like Amazon and Roku have large product lines.
Apple makes things a little easier on everyone by selling just two models of Apple TV 4K streaming player at a time. There are no low-cost models of Apple TV meant to appeal to casual TV watchers; customers who shop for an Apple TV device go into the process knowing they’ll get a high-quality device, but they’ll have to pay $100+ for it.
Being able to snag a discount on an Apple TV is always nice, but its retail partners don’t typically offer deals all that often. It feels like Fire TV and Roku devices are always on sale, but discounts on Apple TV players are fewer and further between.
With that in mind, we wanted to help our readers seek out the best possible price on Apple TV any time they happen to be shopping for one. We’ll detail key retail partners for the Apple TV so you can compare prices, and let you know where we see the most frequent deals on Apple TV streaming players below.
What you need to know to find the best deals on Apple TV players
Key Apple TV retail partners
Apple sells its Apple TV streaming players directly to consumers, but it also allows third-party retailers to distribute the devices as well. We’ll show you all the major retailers for the Apple TV 4K below, and allow you to browse the price of the device at each one.
Amazon
Viewers can find both the 64GB and 128GB models of Apple TV 4K on Amazon via the site’s Apple store. There, customers can shop for a host of Apple products, including computers, smartwatches, earbuds, and more.
Much of the Apple TV 4K stock available on Amazon comes from third-party resellers, however, which can lead to customers paying higher prices for the device than they would if they went directly through Apple to purchase it.

Best Buy
There aren’t a lot of true electronics stores left out there, with so many big-box stores and online retailers crowding the space. But Best Buy is still plugging along, and gives viewers the chance to purchase new Apple TV streaming players at retail price, or refurbished players.
Customers can save $20 to $30 by going the refurbished route, but there is the risk that the device might not last as long as one that is pulled out of the box new. The good news is that Best Buy will ship your new Apple TV to your door if you prefer, or you can pick it up at the nearest physical location near your home.
Shop Apple TV players at Best Buy now:
Target
Target’s catalog of wares extends far beyond electronics, but like Best Buy, it’s a good place to purchase the Apple TV 4K at retail prices. It won’t offer the chance to buy refurbished models most of the time, but you do get to choose your pickup and shipping options if stores in your area have the device in stock.

Walmart
Walmart offers a mix of the experiences you’ll get at Amazon and Target. Like Amazon, shoppers can browse new and older models of Apple TV players from third-party sellers, though it may be hard to save money by doing so. Walmart has a network of hundreds of thousands of third-party retailers on its website, but Apple TV discounts are still hard to come by.
But like Target and Best Buy, Walmart will also allow viewers to shop for the Apple TV 4K at retail prices, brand-new out of the box. You get to choose your own adventure with Walmart, which will ship an Apple TV to you or hold it for pickup if available.

What other retailers carry Apple TV?
Costco doesn’t carry a large selection of streaming players, but the one it does always seem to have on hand is the Apple TV 4K 3rd Gen 64GB model. The devices are only available on its website, and it doesn’t appear that the 128GB model is available.
BJ’s also offers the 64GB Apple TV 4K model, and unlike Costco, it will allow shoppers to pick up the item in-store if it’s in stock.
Sam’s Club sells both the 64GB and 128GB models, with pickup and shipping options available. But like Costco and BJs, Apple TV players are only available at retail price from Sam’s.
Where’s the best place to shop for older Apple TV players?
With its huge inventory of third-party sellers in one digital marketplace, Amazon is a great place to shop for older models of Apple TV, as well as accessories that may not be available new any longer.
In the same vein, shoppers should check out Walmart if they want to seek out older models of Apple TV. Like Amazon, Walmart has a large number of third-party retailers with ample supplies of past models of Apple TV players, and viewers can shop until they find the right fit for them.
You can also check around online marketplace sites like Facebook for a particular model of Apple TV or related accessory, but keep in mind that the reliability of such devices can vary greatly. Using a site like this to buy an older Apple TV is a buyer-beware experience.

Who has the best Apple TV deals?
You may be best off monitoring Apple’s website directly for deals on the Apple TV streaming player. The simple truth of the matter is that retail partners who distribute the player don’t offer deals all that often, and while you can find an occasional discount on a new Apple TV at Best Buy or Target, they’re pretty few and far between in our experience.
If you’re hoping to snag a discount on Apple TV players, our best advice for doing so is to monitor retailers around holiday shopping periods. Black Friday is probably the best time to get a major discount on an Apple TV, but even then, you’re not going to hit a great discount 100% of the time.
The issue is that Apple knows exactly how well they’ve made their streaming players. It’s very much a “we know what we’ve got” scenario, and consumers have generally responded with a willingness to pay the price that Apple sets for the devices.
Who’s the best fit for an Apple TV device?
The Apple TV is a great choice for serious TV watchers who like feeling as if they’re using a highly modern device when they turn on their set. It will unlock your favorite streaming apps, and the tvOS operating system has a ton of great features.
Apple TV players are perfect for those who already have a selection of other Apple products, as well. Apple devices are made to work together, so buying an Apple TV will help you cast FaceTime calls to your TV screen, turn your iPhone into a TV remote, use HomeKit for smart home control, and more.
If you’re serious about streaming and like being able to harness the full capabilities of all your devices, you should absolutely check out an Apple TV player. There aren’t often big discounts available on Apple TV devices, but you can always compare prices from every top retailer using our guide.
