Are You Ready for Some Football? Roku Relaunches NFL Zone
The content hub offers highlights, clips, the opportunity to access the NFL app and much more.
The entire world will be watching tonight when the Baltimore Ravens face the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2024 NFL season kickoff. Fans in the United States will be able to watch the game on NBC or Peacock, but Roku doesn’t intend to miss out on the action! The streaming device maker and operator of The Roku Channel has announced it is reviving the “NFL Zone” content hub, allowing fans to take their appreciation of the game to the next level.
Key Details:
- The NFL Zone will include clips, highlights, and much more.
- Fans will be able to subscribe to NFL+ using Roku’s Instant Signup and Roku Pay this year.
- Roku signed a deal with the league to provide “Good Morning Football: Overtime” to fans earlier this year.
Roku first introduced the NFL Zone ahead of the 2023 season, and is bringing it back just in time for the 2024 campaign to get underway. New features this year include team-vs.-team highlights for every game. In addition, fans can watch the NFL free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel, access the NFL app, watch clips, and more from inside the NFL Zone.
“For the millions of football fans gearing up for the gridiron season, the NFL Zone offers a one-stop-shop experience that can guide them to NFL games, content and more,” Roku’s head of sports Joe Franzetta said. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with the NFL, and we’re proud to present this uniquely designed destination to our streamers for the second year in a row.”
Access to the NFL app through the NFL Zone will allow viewers to watch a livestream of the NFL Network, as well as subscribe to NFL+ and all of its new features this year. Browsers on Roku can now subscribe to NFL+ using Instant Signup and Roku Pay, making it even easier to access the service.
“Last year, millions of fans clicked into the NFL Zone to find ways to watch their favorite matchups, must-see highlights, and clips of the 2023-24 season, and now they can do it again,” said Grace Senko, VP of Media Strategy and Business Development at the NFL. “We hope to continue to innovate with Roku to grow the NFL presence on the Roku platform.”
The expanding partnership between the NFL and Roku is a boon for all fans. In July, Roku struck a deal with the league to stream “Good Morning Football: Overtime,” a daily two-hour show that will offer fans the latest news, updates and highlights from across the NFL.
