Don’t miss the NASCAR South Point 400 from Las Vegas this weekend
Catch all the action from practice to race day — here’s your full weekend viewing guide.
The 2025 South Point 400 goes green Sunday, Oct. 12 at 5:30 p.m. ET on USA Network, and it kicks off the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs’ Round of 8. After the chaos at the Charlotte Roval trimmed the field, Ross Chastain, Bubba Wallace, Tyler Reddick, and Austin Cindric are officially out of title contention. That leaves eight drivers fighting for just four spots in the Championship round, and with wildcards like Martinsville and Talladega still ahead, Las Vegas might be the best shot to lock one in. This 1.5-mile track is fast and unforgiving, and it’s the kind of race where small mistakes snowball fast, especially with everything on the line. You can stream all the action, including Saturday’s practice and qualifying on truTV with a subscription to Sling TV.

Why we like Sling TV for watching NASCAR South Point 400
If your weekends are slammed with NASCAR, football, concerts, and new fall shows, Sling is one of the easiest ways to keep up without spending a fortune. It’s still the most budget-friendly way to stream live TV, giving you access to the key cable and broadcast networks that carry the biggest events.
Normally priced at $46 per month, Sling is currently offering a 50% discount on your first month, dropping the price to just $23. You can go with Sling Orange or Sling Blue, or get both. The combo plan usually costs $61, but right now you can try your first month for just $30.50. That’s a solid deal when you compare it to the cost of most live TV streaming services.
Just want to catch one race or a specific game? Sling also offers flexible day, weekend, and week-long passes so you can stream without committing to a full plan.
Sling TV
Sling TV is The Streamable’s choice for cord-cutters on a budget. Sling is a live TV streaming service with multiple channel packages. The $45.99/month Sling Orange plan offers about 30 channels, including Disney Channel and ESPN. The $45.99/month Sling Blue plan offers about 40 channels, including ABC, Fox, and NBC in major markets.
You can combine Orange+Blue for a total of $60.99 / month. Sling also offers many channel add-on packages starting at $6/month.
Can you watch the NASCAR South Point 400 for free?
Looking to stream the South Point 400 without committing to a full live TV subscription? There are a few free trial options available, but some are more dependable than others. DIRECTV STREAM, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, and YouTube TV all offer trial periods, though the details and reliability vary.
Your best bet is DIRECTV STREAM, which consistently provides a straightforward five-day free trial. That’s more than enough time to catch the race without spending anything. Hulu usually gives new users three days, which also works fine if you just want coverage for race weekend.
Fubo’s trial is a little less clear. As noted by The Streamable’s David Satin, the trial length can be confusing even during sign-up. Some users get one day, others up to seven.
YouTube TV is equally unpredictable. While the platform advertises trial periods of “up to two weeks,” some users only receive two days making it harder to plan ahead.

About 2025 NASCAR Cup Series South Point 400
The 2025 South Point 400 goes down this Sunday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and it’s the opening race of the Round of 8 in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs. Only eight drivers are still in the title fight: Denny Hamlin, Ryan Blaney, Kyle Larson, William Byron, Christopher Bell, Chase Elliott, Chase Briscoe, and Joey Logano. Four of them will move on to the Championship 4 while the rest go home.
Las Vegas is a 1.5-mile tri-oval with steep 20-degree banking and high-speed action that rewards both horsepower and strategy. It’s fast, slick, and unforgiving, which makes it a perfect setting for playoff drama. With wild cards like Talladega and Martinsville still to come, this might be the cleanest shot these drivers have to lock in a win and punch their ticket to Phoenix. Joey Logano won this race last fall, but he’s starting the round below the cut line and needs a big result.
