Here’s how to watch NASCAR’s return to New Hampshire this weekend
Catch all the action from practice to race day — here’s your full weekend viewing guide.
It’s easy to forget about New Hampshire until NASCAR gets there. Then you remember this is one of the stranger tracks on the schedule. It’s only 1.058 miles, but it never really feels small when you’re watching it. There’s just nowhere to hide. Every driver is dealing with the same little problems for 301 laps, and eventually somebody’s car starts getting away from them. The Dollar Tree 301 goes green on Sunday, Aug. 23 at 3 p.m. ET on USA Network. Ryan Blaney won here last year, Joey Logano has been one of the hottest drivers lately, and we’re getting close enough to the playoffs that every weekend starts feeling a little different. We’re coming down the stretch, and you can stream all the racing action with Sling TV’s multitude of subscription options.

Why we like Sling TV for watching the NASCAR Dollar Tree 301
Live TV is kind of annoying when you only need it for one thing. A NASCAR weekend is a good example. Practice is on one channel, qualifying is on another, and then the race itself is somewhere else. You don’t always want to sign up for a giant package just because there’s one weekend you care about.
That’s why Sling works well for something like this. You have more ways to get in than you usually do with live TV. There are several ways to subscribe, including a one-day pass starting at $5, three-day and seven-day options, smaller channel packages, and the full standard lineup for $61 per month.
For the Dollar Tree 301 weekend, Sling Blue is the one to look at. It costs $46 per month and carries USA Network and truTV, so you can watch practice, qualifying, and the race without switching around. Sling Blue also carries local ABC, NBC, and Fox stations in select markets.
Sling TV
Sling TV is The Streamable’s choice for cord-cutters on a budget. Sling is a live TV streaming service with multiple channel packages. The $45.99/month Sling Orange plan offers about 30 channels, including Disney Channel and ESPN. The $45.99/month Sling Blue plan offers about 40 channels, including ABC, Fox, and NBC in major markets.
You can combine Orange+Blue for a total of $60.99 / month. Sling also offers many channel add-on packages starting at $6/month.
Can you watch the NASCAR Dollar Tree 301 for free?
Free trials are kind of perfect for one-weekend sports events. You don’t necessarily need another live TV subscription sitting around all year. You just want to watch the race, maybe catch the rest of the NASCAR coverage, and move on. The annoying part is figuring out which trial you’re actually getting before you sign up.
DIRECTV STREAM, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, and YouTube TV all offer free trials, but they’re not always as simple as they sound. The length can change depending on the service, and sometimes even the account.
DIRECTV STREAM is probably the easiest one here. It regularly offers a five-day free trial, which gives you plenty of time to watch the Dollar Tree 301 and the rest of the weekend’s NASCAR coverage. Hulu is another good option, with new subscribers usually getting three free days, so signing up close to race day should cover everything.
Fubo is where things get a little weird. As The Streamable’s David Satin has explained, it’s not always obvious exactly how long your trial will last even while you’re signing up. Some accounts might see one day, while others could get offers closer to seven days.
YouTube TV has a similar problem. The service advertises trials of up to seven days, but some subscribers end up with much shorter offers which can be frustrating if you’re only signing up for one race. Just make sure you check the final checkout screen before you finish, because that’s where you’ll see the trial length you’re actually getting.
