Everything you need to know about the 2026 MLB Field of Dreams Game
Why watch the 2026 MLB Field of Dreams Game on Netflix?
This one is pretty easy. Netflix is the exclusive home of the Field of Dreams Game this season, so it won’t air on any traditional TV channels, and no other subscription streaming services will offer access to the event. So, in order to watch one of the most exciting events of the summer, you will need to sign up for one of the streamer’s subscription tiers.
The Netflix base option is the Standard with Ads plan, which costs $9 per month. All live events on Netflix, including the Home Run Derby, will have commercial breaks, regardless of tier. So, if you are going to subscribe specifically for the derby, then there’s no reason to go higher than Standard with Ads.
However, if you want to stream any of Netflix’s on-demand titles without commercial interruptions, then you can go with the Standard plan, which runs $20 monthly. Finally, the platform’s top tier is the Premium plan, which comes in at $27 monthly.
Can you watch the 2026 MLB Field of Dreams Game for free?
Unfortunately, there is no free trial associated with any Netflix plan at this time. So there is no legal way to stream the iconic game for free. However, Netflix does offer a handful of subscription options, so you can pick the plan that works best for your budget.

The iconic 1989 film, “The Field of Dreams,” is based on the 1982 novel ‘Shoeless Joe’ from Canadian novelist W. P. Kinsella. The film stars Kevin Costner as a farmer who builds a baseball field in his cornfield that attracts the ghosts of baseball legends, including Shoeless Joe Jackson (Ray Liotta) and the Chicago Black Sox. Amy Madigan, James Earl Jones, and Burt Lancaster also star in the movie. Over time, it has become one of the most iconic sports movies ever made.
Field of Dreams
Ray Kinsella is an Iowa farmer who hears a mysterious voice telling him to turn his cornfield into a baseball diamond. He does, but the voice’s directions don’t stop — even after the spirits of deceased ballplayers turn up to play.
