You can now stream all of the intergalactic adventures of these Brooklyn-born plumbers and their friends.
For most of 2026, “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” was the biggest box office hit of the year, only recently surpassed by “Toy Story 5.” But if you didn’t get a chance to catch the sequel to 2023’s “Super Mario Bros. Movie” in theaters, then you don’t have to wait any longer to catch up with the iconic video game character’s most recent adventure. “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” is set to stream on Peacock beginning on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 12:01 a.m. ET. You can stream the animated film with either of Peacock’s two Premium subscription tiers.

Everything you need to know about ‘The Super Mario Galaxy Movie’
When will ‘The Super Mario Galaxy Movie’ stream on Peacock?
The second Mario Bros. movie will warp its way onto NBCUniversal’s streaming service on Thursday, July 30, exactly 120 days after it premiered in theaters. You will be able to stream all of the intergalactic adventures of these Brooklyn-born plumbers beginning at 12:01 a.m. ET. This date is exactly (more or less) what my colleague David Satin predicted when the film hit theaters back in April.
As a Universal movie, the film will obviously stream on Peacock first when it leaves theaters. But Peacock only gets “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” for four months; then, it shifts to Netflix for an exclusive stay.
Can you stream ‘The Super Mario Galaxy Movie’ for free?
Unfortunately, Peacock does not currently offer a free trial, but there are affordable subscription options that will give you access to the film. Peacock has three distinct tiers: Peacock Select is just $8 per month, but it has a very limited library and does not include any movies. So while you can stream such NBC and Bravo hits as “The Office” and “The Real Housewives,” there will be no Mario Bros. on this plan.
However, both the Premium and Premium Plus plans do come with the full Peacock library, including movies. Premium is ad-supported and runs $11 monthly, while Premium Plus is $17 per month and does not have commercial interruptions during on-demand viewing.

What is ‘The Super Mario Galaxy Movie’ about?
“The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” finds the Mushroom Kingdom at peace. Mario and Luigi are hailed as heroes for defeating Bowser, whom they are trying to rehabilitate. But when Bowser Jr. kidnaps Princess Peach’s sister, the group is forced to travel across multiple galaxies to try to save her before the young villain can carry out his nefarious scheme. Along the way, they’ll get some help from new friends, including a star-crossed fox and a certain green dinosaur.
The movie reunites Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, and Keegan-Michael Key as Mario, Princess Peach, Luigi, Bowser, and Toad, respectively. Joining the voice cast are Benny Safdie as Bowser Jr., Donald Glover as Yoshi, Glen Powell as Fox McCloud, Brie Larson as Princess Rosalina, Luis Guzman as Wart, Issa Rae as the Honey Queen, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek.
