Each episode follows a different Housewife through the experiment. Angie Katsanevas, Emily Simpson, and Melissa Gorga will each swap roles with an everyday wife outside of the franchise. As they adjust to life without all the glitz and glam, a “real wife” will take over their luxurious lifestyle with their husband and children. Along the way, all those involved may discover just how good things are with their real families.
“Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition” brings surprising twists and challenges to each woman’s lifestyle. Angie trades places with homesteader and former Mormon Lindsay Flake. Angie must adapt to life off the grid while her family learns to appreciate the great outdoors. Melissa’s “real wife” replacement is Michelle Clark, who follows a vegan lifestyle and is into Double Dutch. Melissa’s kids are used to her traditional family values, but Michelle throws a curveball. At home, Emily and her husband Shane keep things 50/50. In this experiment, Emily trades places with Caley Svensson and must take the lead with a hands-off “husband” and new family.
