Is ‘The Bikeriders’ Available to Stream Today? When Will Austin Butler, Tom Hardy’s Newest Movie Come to Peacock?
The film explores the founding of a fictional motorcycle club, but is deeply rooted in reality.
“The Bikeriders” is motoring into theaters this weekend. The crime drama featuring big-name stars like Jodie Comer, Austin Butler and Tom Hardy sees its official cinematic debut on Friday, June 21, and is exclusively available in movie theaters at the moment. It will come to streaming sooner or later, however, and I’ll let you know below when I think that will be!
Key Details:
- “The Bikeriders” has compiled an 83% score from reviewers on Rotten Tomatoes.
- The film is being distributed by Focus Features, so it will land on Peacock first.
- Viewers may not have to wait long to see “The Bikeriders” become available with a Peacock subscription.
“The Bikeriders” is told through the eyes of Kathy Bauer, the wife of Vandals Motorcycle Club member Benny. It shows the history of the fictional club from its founding and follows members as they see more and more temptations to turn toward a life of crime and away from the original vision the club’s founder had for the group.
The movie has been popular with critics, as well as audiences who managed to get in for early preview screenings. The movie has an 83% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with an audience score of 77% to go along with it. The story of the film may be a bit conventional, but its terrific writing and excellent performances from the cast go a long way with critics.

When and Where Will ‘The Bikeriders’ Be Streaming?
It’s very simple to say which streaming service will get the rights to stream “The Bikeriders” first, once it’s done with its window of exclusivity in theaters and on premium video-on-demand (PVOD) services like Prime Video, Apple TV store, and Vudu. Focus Features is distributing the film, and since that production house is owned by Universal, “The Bikeriders” will stream on Peacock first.
How long will it take for the movie to rumble onto Peacock? That too could be a deceptively simple question to answer. One of Focus’s most recent releases was Ethan Coen’s solo directorial debut “Drive-Away Dolls,” which made me look like a genius by coming to Peacock on the exact day I predicted it would on April 12. That was 49 days after the movie’s initial release, which is the same schedule used by Universal movies like “M3GAN,” “Cocaine Bear” and “Violent Night,” hence my prediction.
In the case of “The Bikeriders,” I’m going with the same prognostication until I’m proven wrong. A seven-week theatrical and PVOD window would bring “The Bikeriders” to Peacock on Friday, Aug. 6, so fans of the film could well be able to stream it on-demand before summer ends.
