Less than a month ago, Boston-area fans were treated to a surprise in the form of NESN Nation, a free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel covering an array of New England sports. First launched on Prime Video, Roku, Plex, and Twitch, NESN Nation is now also being made available on Samsung TV Plus and LG Channels. The FAST Channel will cover Red Sox and Bruin’s games, as well as New England-area Division III sporting events and Liverpool FC matches from the English Premier League.

Key Details

  • NESN Nation is now available on LG Channels and Samsung TV Plus
  • The channel originally launched with support for Prime Video, Roku, Plex
  • Coverage includes the Red Sox, Bruins, Liverpool FC, and Ontario Hockey League

When NESN Nation launched at the end of February, it became the Boston-based region sports network (RSN)’s first ever free streaming channel. NESN Nation joins linear channels and streaming services NESN, NESN+, and NESN 360 to provide incredibly well-rounded coverage of all things New England sports. As a free service, NESN Nation provides access to features and live events that have previously been restricted to cable, satellite, and streaming subscriptions. Featuring more than 30 hours of live programming each week, NESN Nation will allow fans to extend their standard coverage with no additional fees as networks like NESN look to branch out from the standard streaming options.

Additionally, while RSNs are restricted to just the home market of the teams that they cover, NESN Nation is available across the country, because it doesn’t carry live broadcasts of regular season contests from the top leagues. However, it does offer live events, including one remaining [Red Sox] spring training game and streams of Boston Bruins morning and pregame skates.

Fans can watch postgame press conferences, six Athletes Unlimited women’s basketball games, NESN-owned Liverpool FC coverage, podcasts, college telecasts, and much more. By embracing FAST platforms, NESN is making it easier for fans to stay connected to their favorite teams and sports content across multiple devices.
