This week, Fubo offers RSNs without base package; ‘Black Mirror’ and ‘The Last of Us’ return
The live TV streamer is providing more options for subscribers in select markets to watch their teams at a lower cost.
This week in streaming, Fubo is giving some of its sports-loving subscribers more package options to watch their local NBA, NHL, and MLB teams, pushing a new way to watch regional sports networks (RSNs) without a base package plan in select markets.
Plus, it’s time for the return of two of TV’s biggest series: “Black Mirror” and “The Last of Us.” Find out what time you can watch new episodes of both hit series below!
This week’s biggest streaming news:
Fubo pushing regional sports network packages without base plan
With the start of baseball season well underway, Fubo is providing even more unique options for certain subscribers to catch a game without paying ballpark prices.
This past week, the live TV streamer confirmed subscribers in select markets will be able to watch regional sports networks (RSNs) without a base package. Viewers in over a dozen markets covered by a FanDuel Sports Network RSN, as those in the market of Rangers Sports Network, can now sign up for a standalone subscription to those RSNs.
This is Fubo’s latest move to give its customers more options and package variability. The service began offering specific subscription services like FanDuel Sports Network, NBA League Pass, and Paramount+ with SHOWTIME as standalone options this past October. In December, it followed up with its Essentials package (no longer available to new subscribers), which doesn’t include RSNs and allows subscribers to skip Fubo’s monthly RSN fee.
The cost of Fubo’s RSN-only package in FanDuel markets will cost you $20 per month, the same as a subscription to the FanDuel Sports Network. Right now, though, customers can get a $5 discount, dropping the price for an RSN-only package to as low as $15.

What to stream this weekend: ‘The Last of Us’ returns

With the end of “The White Lotus” Season 3, it’s time for the return of another of HBO’s biggest dramas— and one of TV’s most anticipated titles of both the month and year, at that. Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey are back for Season 2 of “The Last of Us,” the hit series adaptation of the video game franchise, which will premiere its first episode this Sunday in HBO’s top spot.
The new season, which is based on the second game in the franchise, follows the events of the Season 1 finale, where Joel (Pascal) broke Ellie (Ramsey) out of the hospital upon learning the Fireflies would have to kill her to work on a cure. After she wakes up from anesthesia, Joel lies to Ellie and tells her that despite finding other immune people, the Fireflies were not able to create a cure. Now, five years later, the pair have become deeply estranged while living in Wyoming at Tommy (Gabriel Luna) and Maria’s (Rutina Wesley) settlement.
Joining the cast this season will be Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, a soldier seeking vengeance for a loved one. Other new cast members include Young Mazino, Isabela Merced, Danny Ramirez, Ariela Barer, Tati Gabrielle, Spencer Lord, Catherine O’Hara, Jeffrey Wright, Joe Pantoliano, Alanna Ubach, Ben Ahlers, Hettienne Park, Robert John Burke, Noah Lamanna, and more.
Watch the trailer for Season 2 of ‘The Last of Us’:
The Emmy-winning series will premiere this Sunday, April 13, at 9 p.m. ET on HBO and will also be available to stream on Max at the same time. A new episode will be available every Sunday night until May 25.
