What’s the Best Streaming Service to Watch Bally Sports RSNs?
With the 2024-25 NBA and NHL seasons getting underway, fans of teams on Bally Sports channels will want to know the best way to watch without cable.
The fall sports season is about to get underway in earnest. College football and the NFL seasons have been underway for over a month, but the 2024-25 NHL season started last week, and the NBA campaign will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 22. There are still eight NHL clubs and 13 NBA teams contracted to play on a Bally Sports regional sports network (RSN) this season, and if you’re a fan of one of those teams you’re likely wondering the best way to stream their non-national games without cable.
Find out which live TV streaming services carry Bally Sports channels, and which The Streamable recommends most highly!
Which Streaming Service Should You Use to Watch Bally Sports RSNs?
The best choice for streaming a Bally Sports RSN in your area is to sign up for DIRECTV STREAM. This service offers Bally Sports and other regional sports channels in its CHOICE package, which starts at $115 per month.
Why choose DIRECTV STREAM? Let’s start with the five-day free trial that comes standard for all new customers. That will allow you to get an excellent idea of what DIRECTV STREAM is all about, and whether or not it is going to be worth it for you to continue past the trial and become a paid subscriber.
Then there’s the channel selection available with DIRECTV STREAM. It comes with all 35 of The Streamable’s top cable channels, including local networks like ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC. It also allows audiences to stream national cable channels ESPN and TNT, which will both air NBA and NHL national games this season.
The inclusion of TNT specifically puts DIRECTV STREAM ahead of the competition here. Fubo also carries Bally Sports channels, but it doesn’t currently offer TNT, TBS, truTV, or other Warner Bros. Discovery-owned channels.
Once you’re ready to give sports a break, DIRECTV STREAM offers CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC for watching election news, AMC, Hallmark Channel, MTV, and the USA Network for entertainment, and a huge selection of other networks.
DIRECTV STREAM also includes unlimited Cloud DVR and allows subscribers to stream on up to 20 devices simultaneously so long as they’re all in the same household. It also features access to more than 30 TV Everywhere apps, so viewers can use their credentials to log into the dedicated apps of those channels to stream to their hearts’ content.
What Other Streaming Services Carry Bally Sports Channels?
As of now, only one other major live TV streaming service carries Bally Sports channels outside of DIRECTV STREAM: Fubo. This service starts at $95 per month after the regional sports network fee, but it doesn’t carry TNT, a crucial weakness for NBA and NHL fans who want to stream local and national games this season.
The Bally Sports+ service offers live in-market NBA and NHL games for $20 per month, but you won’t get any additional cable channels or broadcast networks with this service.
DIRECTV
DIRECTV is one of The Streamable’s top choices for the best live TV streaming service overall in 2026, especially for users who want the most channels or want to watch the most live sports. With an unbeatable lineup of local, news, sports, and entertainment channels, three main signature packages, an unlimited DVR, and 20 simultaneous streams at home, DIRECTV remains a premier choice for any cord-cutter.
