Many in the entertainment industry believe that bundles are the future of streaming as consumer costs have risen so quickly and dramatically that the initial value proposition of cutting the cord has almost completely disappeared. Whether or not being able to subscribe to multiple streamers at a discounted rate, or get them free as an enticement for another service will be enough to keep people signed up for as many streaming services as possible is yet to be seen, but mobile phone carrier and internet provide T-Mobile is doing its part to attract customers with an offering of free streaming. On Wednesday, T-Mobile announced that the Disney-owned general entertainment steamer Hulu will join its collection of “on Us” streaming services beginning on Jan. 24.

T-Mobile announced that it will launch Hulu on Us in three weeks, meaning that new and existing Go5G Next customers will be able to access the streamer at no additional cost. Hulu joins Apple TV+, Netflix, and MLB.TV for free to come to a savings of over $35 per month or $400 per year. The offer gives customers access to the Hulu with Ads plan, which currently runs $95.88 annually. Customers receive the service automatically for one year, and then must take action in order to continue the complimentary subscription. If they don’t, the subscription will automatically renew at whatever the current monthly price is for the plan; right now it is $7.99.

T-Mobile’s Go5G Next plan guarantees subscribers the ability to upgrade their mobile device every year and that they will be eligible for the same deals on new phones that new customers are. While mobile phone deals are generally out of the purview of The Streamable, when you combine the Go5G guarantees with all of the streaming freebies and other discounts offered, in our expert opinion, it's a pretty good deal.

What Streaming Options Does T-Mobile Offer for Free?

In addition to the Hulu with Ads plan, T-Mobile offers a subscription to Apple TV+ as one of its additional benefits. Apple’s streaming service does not offer a cheaper, ad-supported plan, so the savings come out to $9.99 per month. On the Netflix side of the offer, T-Mobile’s website indicates that it pays for Netflix Basic which also carries a $9.99 monthly fee. However, that plan is not offered to new or rejoining customers anymore, though subscribers currently on the plan are able to keep it.

However, those are not the only streaming enticements that the mobile carrier offers. During the MLB season, T-Mobile offers a free subscription to Go5G Next, which last season cost $149.99 for the all-teams annual package. Customers also get one free year of Spanish-language streaming service Vix Premium, plus a six-month subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio, four months of Pandora Premium, and more.
