Check out all of the Super Bowl LX movie trailers
From animated favorites to sci-fi blockbusters to mysterious films from iconic creators, the Big Game had it all.
The Super Bowl is not only the culmination of the NFL season, but it is also the preemininent cultural event of the year. From pregame and halftime performances to star-studded commercials, the eyes of most of America (and a significant portion of the world) are always on the Big Game. That is why some of the biggest films of the year choose to release the first looks at their trailers during the annual event.
Sunday’s Super Bowl LX was no exception, with nine different films represented during the broadcast. Some of these movies will be available to see in theaters as soon as this month, while release dates for others are still further off. However, one thing that a spot during the Super Bowl can guarantee is that there will be even more attention on these movies as their respective release dates approach.
We are running through all of the films that aired trailers of various lengths during Super Bowl LX. Some are commercials similar to what has already been seen on TV and in theaters, while others were complete surprises altogether.

‘The Adventures of Cliff Booth’
This sequel to “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” was the biggest surprise of the Super Bowl trailerfest Not only did the spot feature some clever covers of some of the film’s more colorful elements, but with filming reportedly just wrapping last month, it wasn’t on anyone’s radar to be a part of the broadcast.
While Quintin Tarantino wrote the script for the film, he will not be directing, as the legendary David Fincher will helm the project. Brad Pitt and Timothy Olyphant will reprise the roles they created in the original film, with the likes of Scott Caan, Elizabeth Debicki, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Carla Gugino, and others joining the production.
The movie is expected to be released in select theaters to qualify for awards consideration later this year before streaming on Netflix.

‘Disclosure Day’
While trailers for this mysterious Steven Spielberg movie have been playing in theaters for weeks, the “Disclosure Day” Super Bowl spot gave us a little bit more insight into what the film is about. With an all-star cast, the movie feels like at least a spiritual successor to Spielberg’s “Close Encounters of the Third Kind,” with themes of UFOs, aliens, and government conspiracies taking center stage.
The film boasts a who’s who of A-listers, led by Emily Blunt and featuring Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth
Colman Domingo, Wyatt Russell, Elizabeth Marvel, and more. The movie is set to hit theaters on June 12, and as it is being distributed by Universal Pictures, it will arrive on Peacock, likely sometime in late summer or early fall.
Peacock

Premium Plus subscribers can stream their local NBC feed in all 210 markets.
‘Hoppers’
The latest Pixar film is less than a month from hitting the big screen, and fans got a look at the trailer during Sunday’s Big Game. The movie has a relatively “Avatar”-like premise that sees scientists create an invention that allows humans to “hop” into lifelike animal robots. When a teenager named Mabel takes the opportunity to become a robotic beaver to disrupt construction plans that would destroy animal habitats, things get a bit crazy.
The movie will feature the voice talents of Piper Curda as the teenager-turned-beaver Mabel, Bobby Moynihan, Jon Hamm, Kathy Najimy, Dave Franco, Sam Richardson, Meryl Streep, Vanessa Bayer, and more.
“Hoppers” will play cinemas around the world on March 6, and will be available to stream on Disney+ in late spring or early summer.
Disney+

It is available in 61 countries and 21 languages. It is notable for its popular original series like “The Mandalorian,” “Ms. Marvel,” “Loki,” “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” and “Andor.”
‘Minions & Monsters’
Another animated film that made a splash on Super Bowl Sunday was the latest installment in the ever-expanding Despicable Me franchise. The latest installment, “Minions & Monsters,” is set in the 1920s and follows three Minions as they head to Hollywood in order to make their marks on the early film industry. However, as is often the case with these Lilliputian, yellow-skinned chaos agents, things don’t go according to plan, and the Minions instead accidentally summon a monster thanks to a mysterious spellbook.
Pierre Coffin, who directed the first four “Despicable Me” movies, will not only be back to helm this prequel, but he will co-write with Brian Lynch, and will continue to serve as the voice for all of the Minions.
The movie will hit theaters on July 1, and then will be available to stream on Peacock, likely in August or September. Then, after four months, it will move to Netflix, as part of Universal Animation's deal with the streamer.

‘Project Hail Mary’
Based on the best-selling novel by Andy Weir, this heart-warming sci-fi adventure finds Ryan Gosling alone, traveling through space with a pesky case of amnesia. However, as more becomes clear, he realizes that the fate of the world relies on him and his ability to figure out scientific phenomena that no human has ever encountered before.
The film will be directed by the Oscar-winning team of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and will also feature Sandra Hüller, Lionel Boyce, Ken Leung, Milana Vayntrub, James Ortiz, and others.
The movie is set to land in theaters on March 20, and comes from Amazon MGM Studios, meaning that it will eventually stream on Prime Video. However, given Amazon’s penchant for allowing movies to remain on TVOD (transactional video-on-demand) for as long as possible, it is unlikely that you will be able to stream it at no extra charge via a Prime Video subscription until the summer.

‘Scream 7’
The first movie to arrive in cinemas that was a part of the Super Bowl broadcast is “Scream 7,” as it will premiere in just a few weeks on Feb. 27. The latest installment in the iconic slasher franchise will see the return of Neve Campbell’s Sidney Prescott and Courteney Cox’s Gale Weathers.
After Sidney had built a new life for herself, a new Ghostface begins tormenting her daughter, Tatum (played by Isabel May). Also appearing in the film will be Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Joel McHale, Anna Camp, Mckenna Grace, Mark Consuelos, Ethan Embry, Celeste O’Connor, and presumed dead “Scream” alums David Arquette, Matthew Lillard, and Scott Foley.
Since all of the “Scream” films fall under the Paramount umbrella, you can expect this one to be available to stream on Paramount+ sometime in mid-April.

The service also offers the option to watch your live CBS affiliate. The upgraded ad-free package includes premium movies and shows from Showtime.
‘Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu’
After three seasons on Disney+, “The Mandalorian” is finally hitting the big screen. Din Djarin and Grogu enlist in the New Republic army in an effort to combat Imperial warlords following the fall of the Galactic Empire.
While many of the details for the film are still being kept under wraps, we know that Sigourney Weaver will play Ward, a former Rebel pilot who now serves as a leader in the New Republic. Jeremy Allen White (presumably in a voice role) will play Rotta the Hutt, the son of the late Jabba the Hutt.
Co-written and directed by Jon Favreau, the film will blast off in theaters on May 22, putting its Disney+] premiere sometime in mid to late-summer.

‘The Super Mario Galaxy Movie’
After the global box office success of “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” in 2023, it was only a matter of time until Mario and Luigi were back on the big screen. This animated sequel is set to debut on April 1, no fooling, and will feature the returning voice talents of Chris Pratt, Charlie Day, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black, and Keegan-Michael Key, while Benny Safdie, Kevin Michael Richardson, and Brie Larson join in on the action.
The action sees Bowser Jr. (Safdie) head to outer space to try to kidnap Princess Rosalina (Larson). Will our favorite Brooklyn plumbers — with the help of Yoshi, Princess Peach (Joy), and Toad (Key) be able to stop him before it’s too late? Does Rosalina even need their help?
Since this is another Universal film, it will eventually arrive on Peacock. While the streamer is usually quick to bring films to the platform, if it does anywhere near as well as the original did, it could take a little longer than normal to arrive on streaming.

‘Supergirl’
After making an appearance in last summer’s “Superman,” Milly Alcock is back as Kara Zor-El, a.k. Supergirl. Unlike her younger (but now older) cousin Kal-El, Kara is a bit more jaded than the Man of Steel. Having suffered through Kypton’s destruction, she seeks pleasure anywhere in the galaxy she can find it.
Kara Zor-El’s planet, party-hopping brings her in contact with Ruthye Marye Knoll (played by Eve Ridley), who recruits the Kryptonian to help her avenge her father’s death. Also appearing in the film will be Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, David Krumholtz and Emily Beecham as Kara’s parents, and Jason Momoa — no longer Aquaman, but now playing alien mercenary and bounty hunter Lobo.
The film is slated to hit the big screen on June 26, putting its premiere on HBO Max, likely sometime in late summer.
