In The Streamable’s 2025 State of Streaming report, our research found that more of our readers use a Roku device to watch TV and movies than any other player. That data aligns with an April announcement that Roku had surpassed 100 million streaming households around the world, and the device’s popularity isn’t hard to decipher.

The Roku user interface is easy to use, customizable, and even entertaining — you can pore through the Roku cityscape for hours picking out minute details, if you want to. And Roku streaming devices make it incredibly easy to download your favorite TV streaming apps like Apple TV, Disney+, HBO Max, Netflix, and literally thousands of others, as well as creator-driven platforms like YouTube.

The Roku streaming player is easy to connect and set up; most require only a few minutes of work before they are ready to use. To make things even better, Roku’s streaming players are some of the most cost-effective on the market, with all devices retailing at less than $150, and most for less than $60. As cost-conscious cord-cutters, we are always keeping an eye on available deals, and these are the best ones we've seen recently for Roku devices.

If you’re ready to make the switch to a Roku device but aren’t sure which retailers offer the best discounts on them, keep reading. We recently compared Roku’s line of products to those of Amazon Fire TV, so if you need help deciding if Roku is right for you, dive into our comparison. Our experts have checked with all the top online sellers to find out who carries Roku streaming players and who might have the best deals at any given moment. See our results below!

What you need to know about finding the best deals on Roku streaming players

Key Roku retail partners

Amazon

It seems you can find just about everything on Amazon, from paper towels to laptops, and Roku streaming devices are no exception. You can find all the newest models of Roku streaming sticks and devices on Amazon, and you can get them delivered to your door in just a few days (in most cases) if you’re a Prime member. Amazon frequently offers deals on Roku streaming sticks that can range anywhere from 20% to 50% off retail price during some sales events; to see current prices, check the links below:

• Roku Streaming Stick HD
• Roku Express Spanish Edition
• Roku Express 4K+
• Roku Streaming Stick 4K
• Roku Streaming Stick Plus
• Roku Ultra
• Roku Streambar

Viewers can also find Roku accessories, like remotes and mounting brackets, via Amazon, and because it hosts third-party sellers as well, the giant e-retailer is one of the few places to find older models of Roku devices, such as the 2023 Roku Ultra LT. These are, of course, much more subject to availability than the newest models of Roku streaming players, but if you’re looking for a harder-to-find player, Amazon is a good place to begin your search.

Best Buy

Best Buy offers most of the latest Roku streaming stick models, but the Roku Express Spanish Edition doesn’t appear to be in its inventory, as at least one of its major competitors does. The one major advantage over ordering from a completely online source like Amazon is the ability to pick up your device from your local store the same day you order it (if it’s in stock, of course).

Best Buy also offers a selection of older Roku devices, such as the Roku Express+, and the Roku LE. These are only available to online shoppers, however.

See the selection of new Roku devices available at Best Buy below:

• Roku Streaming Stick HD
• Roku Express 4K+
• Roku Streaming Stick 4K
• Roku Streaming Stick Plus
• Roku Ultra
• Roku Streambar

Target

One of the nation’s largest brick-and-mortar retailers, Target sells Roku players online and in-store. Like Best Buy, customers can choose to pick up their chosen device at a local Target if it’s in stock.

In our experience, Target offers deals less frequently than some other retailers on Roku devices. In addition, Target doesn’t appear to offer the Roku Express 4K+, but it does carry the Roku Express Spanish Edition. On a good day, however, a customer can still save as much as 40% off Roku players when shopping at Target; get a look at current prices on Roku players right here:

• Roku Streaming Stick HD
• Roku Express Spanish Edition
• Roku Streaming Stick 4K
• Roku Streaming Stick Plus
• Roku Ultra
• Roku Streambar

Walmart

Because Walmart’s website includes a marketplace with more than 200,000 sellers, there is a wide range of older Roku devices available there. It’s one of the better places to shop for older Roku streaming sticks, but it carries all the usual new models, though I didn’t see the Express Spanish Edition on its website.

Like other retailers with physical stores, the Walmart website allows customers to pick up devices at their local store or get them delivered. See the list of new Roku streaming devices on the Walmart website here:

• Roku Streaming Stick HD
• Roku Express 4K+
• Roku Streaming Stick 4K
• Roku Streaming Stick Plus
• Roku Ultra
• Roku Streambar

Big Box retailers

Costco carries Apple TV streaming players, but its website does not offer any Roku streaming devices. BJ’s sells select models of Roku smart TVs, but it does not offer any streaming players from the company on its website. Sam's Club offers select Roku models at members-only prices.

Home improvement stores like Home Depot and Lowes, and department stores such as Macy's also carry some Roku streaming devices.

Where are the best places to find older Roku models?

Walmart is the top place to browse for older Roku devices, but viewers can also find them on the Amazon and Best Buy websites. Target, as we discussed above, doesn’t offer as many older models of Roku devices, so if you’re looking, try one of the other three first.

You can also try searching local online platforms, including neighborhood marketplaces, if you’re looking for a truly obscure Roku model.

Which retailers carry which Roku devices?

Who has the most frequent Roku deals?

In our experience, Amazon is the retailer that has the most frequent deals on Roku players. But make sure you shop around; Amazon uses tactics like anchor pricing — displaying a retail price with a deal price next to it to make it seem like a better offer.

Who is a Roku device best suited for?

A Roku streaming device is perfect for anyone with an HDMI port available on their TV and a desire to stream video on the biggest screen in their house. Roku makes it simple to find and watch top streaming apps and partners with all the biggest services to provide native apps on its players.

It’s especially useful for anyone who is intimidated by a smart TV user interface that’s too fancy and difficult to decipher, or who has an early smart TV that doesn’t connect well to the internet but still has a perfectly functional screen. The Roku interface is a snap to use, and viewers can customize their app view to suit their exact desires.

Roku makes some of the most popular streaming devices in the United States, and they’re highly affordable. Check with top retailers to see who has the best deals on new models and who has older models of Roku players for sale using the links above. Get yours and start streaming all your favorites.
