How to watch Houston Astros vs. Chicago White Sox 2026 Wild Card Game 2
The ChiSox are one win away from advancing to the ALDS, but the Astros will have home-field advantage to try and keep their season alive.
The Houston Astros will have their collective backs against the wall on Wednesday, Sept. 30, as they host the Chicago White Sox in Game 2 of their American League Wild Card Series. Chicago took the opener 6-3 behind Colson Montgomery’s home run and a strong bullpen effort, putting the Astros in a must-win spot after their own bullpen game went sideways early. Houston will now hand the ball to Hunter Brown, while the White Sox counter with Sean Burke as they try to clinch their first postseason series win since the 2005 World Series. Game 2 will begin at 5 p.m. ET, and you can watch with one of Peacock’s two Premium subscription options. Universo will provide the Spanish-language broadcast.

What streamers will cover Astros vs. White Sox?
Here’s where things get a bit confusing. This game is considered a Peacock exclusive, but in reality, it’s not. In November 2025, NBCUniversal decided to resurrect its formerly defunct cable channel, the NBC Sports Network. While there is other content on the channel, its primary purpose is to provide cable, satellite, and live TV streaming customers a way to watch sporting events on Peacock without having to sign up for the service.
Currently, only YouTube TV and Fubo carry the channel, but both do offer varying levels of free trials. So, if you just want to watch this game for free, you do have options.
