Prime Video to host more than 20 New York Yankees games in 2025
The streamer will make the games available at no extra cost to viewers in the Yankees’ home broadcast footprint.
The 2025 MLB season is suddenly just around the corner and the New York Yankees will be out to avenge their loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2024 World Series. And on Wednesday, it was confirmed that tristate fans will be able to watch the Bronx Bombers’ journey back to the postseason on YES Network, the Gotham Sports App, and for the third year in a row, on Prime Video. The Amazon-owned streaming service will host Yankees games starting in April and continuing all the way through September.
Key Details:
- Prime Video will host 21 Yankees games over the course of the season.
- The games will be available to viewers in New York, Connecticut, and parts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
- Opponents for Yankees games on Prime Video include multiple teams that made the 2024 playoffs.
Prime Video will serve as home to a total of 21 Yankees games over the course of the 2025 season. These games will be exclusive to Amazon’s streaming service, so viewers won’t be able to watch them on YES Network or any other outlet. Subscribers will be able to watch the games in the TV footprint of the team, including New York State, Connecticut, north and central New Jersey, and northeast Pennsylvania. There’s no additional cost to watch the games once you’ve got a Prime Video subscription, starting at $9 per month.

Eighteen of the 21 games presented by Prime Video will be held on Wednesday nights. Opponents set to appear include several teams that made the MLB playoffs in 2024, including the Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Guardians, Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros, Philadelphia Phillies, and San Diego Padres.
Fans who watch Yankees games on YES Network normally will find a familiar broadcasting team awaiting them on Prime Video. YES Network play-by-play broadcaster Michael Kay will call the games, accompanied by YES analysts David Cone, Paul O’Neill, Joe Girardi, John Flaherty, and Jeff Nelson.
Viewers who live outside the Yankees’ home markets can still watch the games with a subscription to MLB.TV, which carries all out-of-market contests from the league, as well as in-market games for a handful of teams such as the Colorado Rockies and San Diego Padres.
