Everything you need to know about local sports, RSNs on Prime Video

Does Prime Video offer any local sports?

Yes — in fact, Prime Video has a surprising amount of local sports coverage. The streamer’s Subscriptions page allows viewers to sign up for additional streaming services, some of which offer local sports coverage from well-known broadcast channels.

Specifically, Prime Video carries Fox One, Paramount+, and Peacock in its Subscriptions catalog. Fox One carries local news and sports from Fox stations across the country, starting at $20 per month on top of a Prime Video subscription. Paramount+ offers a live stream of CBS stations in all American markets on its $14-per-month Premium plan, and Peacock carries an NBC live stream in its Premium Plus plan, costing $20 per month.

Currently, there is no way to watch local sports from ABC with Prime Video.

Does Prime Video have any RSNs?

Unlike most on-demand streaming services, Prime Video actually does carry some regional sports in the United States, though it does not currently stream any RSNs live. The streamer offers Seattle Kraken games to all subscribers living in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska; all non-nationally televised regular season games are shown on Prime Video in these territories.

Prime Video will also serve as the in-market streaming home for six more NHL teams this season: the Columbus Blue Jackets, St. Louis Blues, Anaheim Ducks, Carolina Hurricanes, Dallas Stars, and Minnesota Wild. The streaming add-ons for the Blue Jackets, Blues, Hurricanes, and Wild will cost $20 per month or $100 for the season, but Ducks and Stars games on Prime Video will be available at no extra cost to customers in those regions.

On the WNBA side, Prime Video partners with the Seattle Storm to distribute that team’s games to a regional audience. Around 30 Storm games each season stream on Prime Video for viewers within Washington state, airing simultaneously on local broadcast TV channels.

The service also carries a selection of around New York Yankees games each year for regional audiences. These games are not available nationally, and are streamed on Prime Video in conjunction with the Yankees’ RSN partner YES Network. In 2026, the streamer carried 21 games for the Bronx Bombers.

Prime Video also offers subscriptions to select RSN-partner streaming services, including the [Chicago Sports Network App], Marquee Sports Network, NESN 360, and [SNY]. In addition, viewers who purchase Peacock through Prime Video can add on content from NBC Sports RSNs for an additional fee.

What other sports are available on Prime Video?

As mentioned, Prime Video has a big selection of nationally televised sporting events, including its NBA, NFL, and WNBA packages. The streamer also hosts NASCAR Cup Series races, NWSL matches, combat sports, and is always on the lookout for more events to add.

Other ways to watch local sports and RSNs

If you want to watch your area’s regional sports network as well as all local sports on a single platform, you’ll want to check out a subscription to a live TV streaming service such as DIRECTV or Fubo. These are the two streamers with the most RSN access, and they also carry local broadcast channels in a large selection of markets.
