Which streamers should you keep, cut in March?
Which streamers should you keep, cut in March?
There’s a surprising number of great premieres coming to streaming services this March, but which services can you safely let go of?
Stop me if you’ve heard this one before, but streaming can be pretty expensive! A recent study found that in 2025, almost one-third of all streaming cancelations were due to price-related issues, and it doesn’t seem likely that many services will be lowering prices substantially in 2026.
With that in mind, The Streamable has put together our list of streaming subscriptions worth keeping in March, as well as services you may want to consider cutting out of your budget to save a little money. Check out our recommendations below!
Streaming subscriptions to keep, cut in March 2026
Streamers to keep
Paramount+
There are two major reasons to keep your Paramount+ subscription in March 2026. The first is the March 14 release of “The Madison,” the next series from Taylor Sheridan to be set in the on-screen “Yellowstone” universe. The show isn’t set to heavily feature any characters from “Yellowstone,” however, it stars Patrick J. Adams, Matthew Fox, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Kurt Russel in an intimate family drama that follows a family of New York elite as they journey to the wilds of Montana.

Audiences who are still using the Essential plan of Paramount+ may want to upgrade to the Premium tier — especially if they love college basketball. The 2026 March Madness tournament. The First Four round of the tourney tips off on March 17, and CBS will once again carry a huge selection of games. Viewers can stream them all live with a subscription to Paramount+ Premium, starting at $14 per month.
Paramount Plus
Paramount+ is a subscription video streaming service that includes on-demand access to 40,000+ TV show episodes from BET, CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., and more. Get free access with a Walmart+ subscription.
Paramount+ includes “1883,” “Tulsa King,” “Star Trek: Discovery,” “SpongeBob SquarePants,” and “PAW Patrol.” Subscribers can watch the NFL, college football, The Masters, college basketball, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Serie A, and NWSL. The service also offers the option to watch your live CBS affiliate. The upgraded ad-free package includes premium movies and shows from Showtime.
Disney+ and Hulu
We had this combination as a recommended keep in last month's version of this article, and we maintain that recommendation for March. You’ll want the bundle of both streamers to get the best of both worlds, since there are major releases coming to Disney+ and Hulu in the coming weeks.
On Disney+, fans can enjoy the second season of “Daredevil: Born Again” starting March 24. The show centers on Matt Murdock, who uses his vigilante alter ego Daredevil to fight to save New York City from the dire machinations of Mayor Wilson Fisk — also known as the Kingpin. Fans who are nostalgic for the old days on Disney Channel can also check out the “Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special” on Disney+ on March 24.
Now let’s turn our attention to Hulu, which will launch a new season of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” on March 12. A fantastic month for reality TV lovers continues on March 23, when Hulu will get the first episode of Season 22 of “The Bachelorette.” Audiences can sign up for the Disney+ and Hulu Basic Bundle starting at just $13 per month.

Prime Video has two major releases to tune in for in the month of March, starting with the premiere of “Young Sherlock” on March 4. Directed by Guy Ritchie — though unconnected to his Holmes film series starring Robert Downey Jr. — the series finds Sherlock at his lowest, a disgraced young man who finds himself at the center of a murder case. Soon, it unravels into a globe-trotting conspiracy that alters his life forever.

The series premiere of “Scarpetta” is coming to Prime Video on March 11, and for fans of the Patricia Cornwell novel series, it’s a can’t-miss debut. The series stars Nicole Kidman as Dr. Kay Scarpetta, a brilliant forensic pathologist who is called upon to solve crimes that no one else can crack. Jamie Lee Curtis also stars in the series as Dorothy Scarpetta, Kay’s older sister.

Streamers to cut
Peacock
With the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics over, and Super Bowl LX nothing but a memory, there are few compelling reasons to keep Peacock in March — with one major exception. Fans of the “Wicked” movies will want to make sure they keep the streamer at least through March 20, when “Wicked: For Good” will be released there. Other than that, and the release of the second season of “Ted,” the premiere calendar for Peacock in March is a bit bare.
Peacock
Peacock is a subscription video streaming service from NBCUniversal that includes original shows, blockbuster movies, and classic television series. Peacock is home to “Yellowstone,” “The Office,” and original hits like “Poker Face” and “Bel-Air.” You can also watch live sports and NBC programming, including the NFL, MLB, WWE, the Olympics, the Premier League, NASCAR, the French Open, college football and basketball, and the PGA Tour. Premium Plus subscribers can stream their local NBC feed in all 210 markets.
HBO Max
If you kept your HBO Max subscription through February to see the end of “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,” you can probably put it down for now — at least until the next season of “House of the Dragon” arrives. The most consequential piece of programming fans will miss on HBO Max in March is new episodes of “The Pitt,” but they can circle back to that series for the Season 2 finale in April.
