DIRECTV to offer F1 races on Apple TV, as Apple partners with Everpass
The 2026 Formula 1 season will air on Apple TV, after a deal announced in October sent F1 rights to the streamer for the next five years. On Thursday, DIRECTV announced that F1 would be available to residential customers, as well as DIRECTV for Business subscribers. Viewers can add an Apple TV subscription to their DIRECTV account for $13 per month and keep all charges on the same bill, or seek out a nearby bar or restaurant with DIRECTV for Business to watch F1 races live.
The reason DIRECTV can now offer F1 races to commercial customers is that, as of Thursday, Apple has a distribution deal with one of DIRECTV’s key commercial streaming partners, EverPass Media. That deal means EverPass can distribute Apple TV sports programming such as F1 races, MLB games, and MLS matches. EverPass customers can now show these events in bars and restaurants around the United States. Additionally, residential customers who subscribe to Apple TV through DIRECTV will now be able to watch live sports from Apple through the DIRECTV app itself.
